Bowl America company history timeline
Expanding from its first location in the Washington, DC area, Bowl America was incorporated in 1958 when the company went public to finance its expansion.
In 1958, the PBA (Professional Bowlers Association) was founded.
In 1971, the PBA founded the United States Open, one of four major tournaments in the league and arguably the most famous because of its difficulty and length of playtime.
Bowling was first demonstrated in the Olympics in 1988.
