Our client, a fashion brand, is seeking a Technical Designer who is experienced in women's bottoms to join their team in their New York office.
Responsibilities:
Create and maintain detailed technical packages (specs, measurements, construction details, grading, and fit comments)
Lead fit sessions and provide clear, actionable feedback to vendors and internal teams
Review and measure samples to ensure accuracy against specs and brand standards
Collaborate with Design to resolve fit, construction, and quality issues while maintaining aesthetic intent
Communicate fit corrections, pattern adjustments, and construction changes to overseas and domestic vendors
Review and approve grading, markers, and size sets as needed
Ensure products meet quality, performance, and cost requirements
Track and manage sample progress through development milestones and production timelines
Partner with Production and QA teams to address bulk production issues and ensure consistency
Support continuous improvement of fit standards, block development, and technical processes
Requirements:
2-4 years related experience
Bachelor's Degree in Fashion/Product Design preferred
Knowledge of Technical Design and the ability of writing accurate garment specifications and communication fit and construction. Ladies apparel background a plus
Ability to read design specs. Knowledge of grading
Ability to spec garments and determine compliance of spec, construction, and fit intent
Must be organized, detail minded and have strong collaboration, communication and follow up skills

As a Site Civil DesignTechnician you will play a vital role for a multidisciplinary design team working with a variety of local, state, and federal municipal projects. Position will be primarily responsible for design to include the development and overseeing of CAD-generated construction plans for site civil projects.
Position requires the ability to work on a variety of projects, take direction from multiple supervisors, and coordinate with other staff.
Position requires working on projects likely to include conceptual and final engineering site design services for new facilities, site renovations, and expansions. Develop site civil construction plans utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D software.

Technical Skills:
