Purpose
To execute through administration, technical and management techniques, design, and direction of transportation projects to ensure the successful completion, on time and within allocated budget. Responsibilities
Leadership and Direction
* Receive broad guidance from senior-level management relating to overall key objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters and general parameters for execution. Manage people and processes to ensure effective execution. Review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
* Provide mentorship through counsel, guidance, and knowledge to junior staff as a key component to the development of future Project and Senior Project Managers.
At the Operational and Company Level
* Coordinate with other internal departments to meet project requirements.
* Support other disciplines with traffic engineering expertise.
* Supervise and monitor client relationship strategies, acting as primary client contact on assigned projects and maintaining client satisfaction.

Do the Work

* Assist in definition of scope of assigned transportation projects and develop plan to accomplish projects.
* Monitor progress toward deliverable schedules and compile project status reports.
* Provide technical assistance in the resolution of design problems and provide technical quality control of multiple assigned projects.
* Prepare client presentations and attend public meetings.
* Review plans and prepare or review technical specifications, contract documents, and estimates.
* Review project changes, pending or anticipated alterations to the contract, additional work requests, and other factors.
* Review job cost sheets, assist with preparation of monthly billings/project invoices, and ensure assigned projects stay with budget.
* Serve as liaison between clients and agencies, subcontractors, and design teams on project issues including technical requirements, completion requirements, and billing inquiries.
* Participate in the preparation of proposals and lead major submission on large projects.
* Supervise work of project staff to ensure that it meets the highest professional standards.

* EIT Registration required.

Physical Demands and Working Environment
* Primarily indoor professional office environment which may include bright/dim light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
