Job Description The incumbent in this position is responsible for the activities in the Count Room to ensure the integrity of currency counting derived from the gaming floor, as well as ensuring compliance with the Ohio Lottery Commission regulations. The incumbent is also responsible for providing extraordinary service to both the internal and external customer. Delivers superior internal and external guest service the Boyd Gaming and works harmoniously with fellow team members. * Maintains protection of extremely large amounts of currency, ensuring prevention of loss by providing extreme care and attention to detail. * Ensures that procedures and proper controls are affected to protect counted receipts. * Conducts a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the table drop boxes to determine, by table, the amount of the drop and the win. * Conducts a mechanically assisted count of the contents of the bill validator boxes. * Maintains awareness of changes and/or problems which may affect the security of the currency in the Count Room and reports observances to the Count Room Supervisor. * Counts and reconciles total funds to ensure the integrity of the count. * Transfers the corresponding documentation to the Accounting Department on a daily basis. * Prepares funds, with proper documentation for transfer of funds to the Cage Department. * Conducts all facets of the count from the opening of the boxes, counting of the drop, verification of documentation and bundling of currency to the final reconciliation of totals, as well as any other related tasks. * Performs related duties and responsibilities as required. Qualifications This knowledge and these abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a high school education, or equivalent as well as two months on-the-job training * Ability to maintain all Regulatory licenses within assigned state of employment * Must successfully pass background check * Must successfully pass an alcohol and drug screening * Knowledge of AS/400 computer system, and 10-key calculator. * Ability to operate currency counting equipment. * Knowledge of cashiering or banking operations. * Ability to communicate effectively with subordinates, coworkers, and management. * Ability to count and separate varying denominations of chips and currency. * Ability to motivate and direct the performance of subordinates. * This position is physical in nature and requires the incumbent to effectively and efficiently move around work areas, bend, squat, reach, twist, carry and move up to 50 pounds retrieving and emptying boxes. * Ability to push/pull the drop cart, with assistance, which can weigh up to 2000 pounds * Ability to remain standing for majority of shift and make way around the Count Room in an efficient manner. * This position spends a large portion of the shift on the gaming floor, and is subject to varying levels of crowds, noise, and smoke, the severity of which depends upon customer volume. * Must be flexible to work varying shifts and time schedule as needed. Qualifications These skills and abilities are typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree in mechanical, Electrical Engineering or Environmental Management in addition to a minimum of five years' general engineering supervisory experience and/or through a minimum of eight years' progressive engineering experience and/or closely related field in a comparably sized operation with five years of supervisory experience. * Strong problem solving, mediation, coaching and consulting skills * Strong written and verbal communication skills * Proficient in the use of HotSOS * Competent in the use of Coupa (P2P) purchasing system * Competent in Microsoft Office products. * Ability to sustain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism * Ability to maintain a high level of energy and take a proactive and strategic approach to dealing with Team Member relations issues * Ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively with Team Members at all levels of the organization * Journeyman level in mechanical, engineering or plumbing trade or master in a finished trade * Highly skilled in the use of all hand and power tools related to facility based maintenance. * Highly skilled working knowledge of electrical, plumbing, mechanical and carpentry fields. * Highly skilled with proper application and use of common and job related special tools and test equipment. * Must be able to obtain and maintain all licenses / certifications per Federal, State, and Gaming regulations. Job Description The Cage Cashier will execute monetary transactions for guests in an assigned window bank. Maintain an accurate balance count of company assets while providing excellent customer service. * Maintain accurate handling of guest and company funds by processing all transactions and documentation in accordance with gaming regulations, company policies and procedures. * Exchange gaming chips and tickets, cash checks, and process markers and fills. * Maintain bank balance and safeguard casino cage assets during assigned shift. * Assist customers will filling credit applications and maintain all customer credit files. * Issue window markers and safety deposit boxes to guests. * Enter markers, fill and credit slips into computer. * Assist guests with inquiries and advise on current promotions. * Maintain professional appearance and work stations fully stocked. * Performance of duties requires standing for majority of shift. * Other duties as assigned by management Qualifications * Must be 18 years of age. * This is a graveyard shift position. * Full-Time and Part-Time available. * Previous money handling/cashiering preferred. * Basic Math skills with knowledge of currency. * Ability to operate calculators, computers, and money counters for cash and coin. * Must be able to bend, push, lift, and carry up to 26 pounds in weight. * Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English. * Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses as required by local gaming regulations.
