Patrick Gaines is an accomplished nonprofit leader with a proven record of accomplishment in healthcare, higher education, youth development and the cultural arts. He is in the midst of a progressive 30-year career serving in executive and leadership roles with a focus on business development, capacity building, board management, strategic planning, membership expansion, and capital campaigns. Patrick leverages a diverse professional background to curate a unique blend of skills to lead high-performing teams, build collaborative relationships, and meet the evolving needs of a highly-challenged and ever-changing nonprofit environment.

Patrick is known for his energetic, strategic and passionate leadership style, which he demonstrates through commitments of service, philanthropy and mentorship. Patrick is committed to anti-racism through the advancement of equity, diversity and inclusion among people of all ages, race, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, and religion. Patrick combines his personal experiences overcoming trauma with a diverse set of professional skills to cultivate a culture of generosity and resiliency among teams of investors, executives, stakeholders and peers.

Patrick is an accomplished classical musician and enjoyed a 15-year professional music career, during which he performed with numerous international icons such as Placido Domingo, Itzhak Perlman, Sid Cesar, Tony Bennett, Ray Charles, Mannheim Steamroller, Joshua Bell, Yo Yo Ma and John Williams.

As an ultra-endurance athlete, Patrick has competed in several dozen trail running competitions on three continents, including the Leadville Trail 100 in Leadville, CO, the Fuego y Agua Endurance 100k in Ometepe, Nicaragua and the Ultra Trail du Mont Blanc in Chamonix, France.

Sherri Kroonenberg is a Chief Program Officer at Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Denver and is based in Denver, Colorado. She has worked as Vice President, Cash Access Client Services at Charles Schwab; Vice President, Business Services Co (Bank/Broker) at Charles Schwab; and General Manager, Senior Vice President at Fidelity Investments. Sherri studied at Metropolitan State University of Denver between 1982 and 1986 and University of Denver between 1986 and 1987.
