Align grant strategies with organizational priorities, annual development- controlled revenue targets, and campaign goals. Develop plans for grants revenue to drive annual revenue and campaign targets as part of the broader advancement strategy, ensuring goals and deliverables are met toward strategy, impact and sustainability. Relationship Management & Stewardship Actively and persuasively develop written proposals and reports to effectively convey BGCP's mission, programs, and impact to current and prospective funders. Establish and sustain strong relationships with funders, community partners, staff, and internal stakeholders. Partner with program and finance teams to ensure proposals and budgets are accurate, sustainable, and aligned with strategic priorities. Oversee prompt acknowledgements, stewardship activities, and proactive cultivation efforts that deepen funder engagement and retention. Partner with the Marketing & Community Engagement Manager and other members of the Development team to appropriately highlight funders, partnerships, and impact stories through grant reporting. Grants Administration & Reporting Manage and oversee all aspects of grants administration, including calendars, deliverables, and internal communication processes. Oversee grant management systems and tools that streamline workflows, improve data accuracy, manage report schedules, and enhance cross-departmental collaboration. Ensure fiscal oversight of grant-related budgets and compliance with funder requirements. Collaborate with the Finance team on the Grants Master List to align reporting, allocations, reconciliations, and budget tracking. Develop and maintain organizational policies, procedures, and systems that support efficient grants management (in partnership with Finance). Support the Finance team on any deliverables for annual audit, 990 and other financial reporting that requires grants information. Leadership & Collaboration Lead on all aspects of project management for developing multiple grant proposals at any given time. Provide regular reporting and performance updates to the Chief Development Officer and broader Development team. Serve as a thought partner within the Development team, contributing writing, research, and strategy support for broader fundraising initiatives. Manage funder recruitment and retention efforts, fostering long-term investment in BGCP's mission. Champion best practices in grants management and staff training, reinforcing a culture of accountability, collaboration, and excellence. Supports organizational campaigns and events on an as-needed basis, fostering collaboration and effective execution across teams. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in nonprofit management, business management, communications or related field (advanced degree preferred). Minimum 7-10 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, grants management, or institutional giving, with a proven record of securing and managing significant funding partnerships. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft persuasive, mission-driven narratives. Strong organizational, project management, and time-management skills; proven ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Experience managing budgets, donor databases, and reporting systems (e.g., Salesforce, Raiser's Edge, or equivalent). Strategic thinker with a collaborative spirit and a passion for equity, social justice and youth development. WORK ENVIRONMENT & EXPECTATIONS: Hybrid schedule; regular in-person presence required in office, Board meetings, events, and cross-team collaboration. Occasional evenings and weekends required for events or stakeholder functions. Local travel expected throughout the Portland Metro region. Physical/Sensory Demands: Fast-paced working environment. Guide members through fun, hands-on learning and social recreation activities including art (music, theater, visual arts), STEAM, games, sports and more! Create and supervise special events and activities for youth to connect with future possibilities- field trips and on- site activities. Attend and engage in all scheduled training and professional development opportunities outlined by supervisor and in the annual training/professional development calendar. Work within Club leadership team to ensure daily safety, operations and programming requirements and goals are met. Position Requirements Provide role model values, expectations, and exceptional youth development skills at all times. Support and collaborate with the Club leadership team to promote a consistent and impactful Club experience for all youths & teens. Communicate with parents, program partners and stakeholders to ensure strong relationships and a safe Club. Participate in the collection of data regarding program delivery, quality, and outcomes. Possess a strong understanding of and adhere to organizational policies and procedures with the ability to demonstrate good judgment when unexpected situations arise. May need to deal with stressful incidents that can occur in the daily commencement of their duties. All BGCP employees are Mandated Reporters and must report any suspected Child Abuse or Neglect to their direct supervisor. Position Qualifications: Must have knowledge of youth and teen development principles and practices. Ability to consistently meet schedules and deadlines. Ability to meet consistent attendance. Ability to be punctual and adhere to a set work schedule, established by position expectations and site needs. Strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and efficiently without direct supervision. License to drive (if over 21) and ability to drive Club vans a plus. Consistent work schedules preferred. One year of experience preferred but NOT required.
