Human Resource Management

* Conducts exit interviews, analyzes data and makes recommendations to the management team for corrective action and continuous improvement.
* Facilitate the company's workers comp, FMLA and unpaid leave processes.
* Responds to employee relation issues such as employee complaints, harassment allegations and civil rights complaints.
* Manages full-cycle recruiting efforts including drafting postings, reviewing applications, interviewing and offers and closing out requisition when acting as recruiter.

Qualifications

The General Accounting Specialist is responsible for various general accounting tasks including, but not limited to, cash receipts review and posting, organization credit card monitoring and reconciliation, project expenditure tracking, and monthly invoicing. Trains and guides education instructors to ensure an environment that promotes the physical, intellectual, social and emotional well-being of youth, that incorporates guidance and discipline principles and that insures understanding of designated programs
Consults with parents about member issues
Implements and manages all required grants including completing monthly reports
Partnership Development
Develops a good relationship with the schools and teachers to ensure youth are learning required materials
Recruits volunteers as needed to ensure enough help to assist with tutoring and homework help
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
Visits schools and meets with teachers regularly
Completes training as required by licensing agency: 24 hours of training the first year of employment and 18 hours each additional year
Oversees special programs and/or events (i.e. Keystone, Youth of the Year and Awards Programs), and/or participates in the implementation of other unit activities as necessary
Manages Club in absence of the Club and Program Director
Plans and coordinates field trips

Qualifications SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED:
High School Diploma/ GED Required
Bachelor's Degree preferred
A minimum of two year's work experience in a Boys & Girls Club or similar organization planning and supervising activities based on the developmental needs of young people, or equivalent experience
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for individuals and groups, and the measurement of training effects
Thorough knowledge of youth development theory and the mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs
Strong communication skills, both oral and written
Proficiency of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Ability to supervise and motivate staff
Ability to deal effectively with members including discipline problems
Demonstrated ability in working with young people, parents and community leaders
Mandatory CPR and First Aid Certifications
