Boys Town National Research Hospital company history timeline

1977

Since its founding in 1977, Boys Town Hospital has been internationally recognized as a leader in clinical and research programs focusing on childhood deafness, language development and related communication disorders.

1979

Boys Town also began admitting girls to its residential program in 1979.

1985

In 1985, Monsignor Hupp retired and Omaha native Father Valentine “Val” J. Peter became Boys Town’s fourth Executive Director.

1989

Boys Town opened its National Hotline in 1989.
