Job Summary
We are searching for an experienced Pet Groomer to join the team at our successful grooming business. As a Pet Groomer, you will bathe and clip dogs according to breed-specific standards and owner preferences. You will also trim nails, clean ears, detangle hair and generally ensure that pets look and feel their best. This is a mobile position; training is available for the right candidate. If you are reliable, compassionate, and have a love for pets, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities
Brush and detangle or remove matted fur
Bathe dogs and dry coat
Execute a variety of clipping techniques and style requests
Examine for parasites or other skin conditions
Trim nails
Ensure the safety of dogs at all times
Adhere to strict sanitary and cleaning procedures
Be a self-starter and remain flexible
Communicate effectively and compassionately with pet owners
Communicate promptly utilizing specific software
Qualifications
Previous experience as a dog grooming technician or similar role
Comfortable working with anxious animals
Ability to stand for long periods and lift large dogs over 60 pounds
Willingness to learn new techniques and participate in continuing education
Able to communicate effectively with coworkers and dog owners
Strong attention to detail
Comfortable driving a large van
