    PNE Construction (PNEC) - a Pacific Northern Environmental LLC Company, is seeking a Carpenter who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and has the ability to provide exceptional service and skills to our company and clients. Pacific Northern Environmental, LLC consists of four divisions include Advanced Electrical Technologies (AET), Cowlitz Clean Sweep (CCS), Pacific Northern Environmental Construction (PNEC), and WasteXpress Environmental (WXE). Together, we specialize in commercial and petroleum construction, industrial and commercial electrical, industrial cleaning, and hazardous waste disposal. PNE LLC has offices in multiple states. PNE Construction is a full-service design-build contractor that has the capability to design and build many projects. The Carpenter is responsible for constructing or repairing the framework of commercial buildings by performing the following duties. This position is part time and is temporary. Education and Experience Qualifications High School Diploma or GED 5 years carpentry experience required. Must have experience in rough and finish carpentry. Will need to obtain basic training (company provided). Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently at times. Strong interpersonal, organization, analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Must possess strong communication and teamwork skills. Duties and Responsibilities The Carpenter possessing the education and experience listed above performs the following: Determines the dimensions of each framework to be constructed, then measures and cuts the required building materials accordingly. Assembles all required materials to form framework. Prepares the layout of the project and estimates height, width, length and other proportions. Works with materials such as wood, plastic, fiberglass, or drywall. Measures, cuts, or shapes wood, plastic, and other materials. Constructs building frameworks, including walls, floors, and doorframes. Inspects and replaces damaged framework or other structures and fixtures. Utilizes chisels, planes, saws, drills, and sanders to repair and erect structures. Joins materials with nails, screws, staples, or adhesives. Works on top of stilts, ladders, and the top of beams of buildings. Uses levels, rules, framing squares, and survey equipment to ensure everything is level and secure. Checks work along the way to ensure it is up to code and specifications. Works with prefabricated buildings. Works with blueprints or instructions from supervisors. Thinks ahead for next steps, including where to set up equipment, staging and storing material and how to coordinate work around other trades. Maintains a clean workspace, free of debris and trip hazards. Other duties as assigned. Working Conditions and Physical Requirements The candidate must possess and be adaptable to the following physical abilities and working conditions: Move about the jobsite as needed. Move work related equipment up to 50lbs. Remain in a stationary position for long periods of time. Occasionally ascend/descend ladders and/or stairs. Responsible for transportation to and from jobsite.
