Each rotation pairs participants with an expert mentor with years of experience in their respective field. The internship program goes beyond providing mentorship and valuable learning experiences; it also offers opportunities for interns to connect with their peers through exciting social events, such as catered lunch presentations showcasing engineering expertise across the company.
Whether you love working with hardware, automating repetitive tasks, are interested in the maintenance of a high-performance computer, or can't decide between any of the above, this is the internship for you!
Who We Want:
We are seeking motivated self-starters who enjoy formulating elegant solutions to difficult problems. To be successful in this position, a candidate will ask lots of questions, be a strong proponent of continuous change, pay attention to detail and take initiative to identify current problems and find a way to solve them. Extra points for background knowledge in Linux, numerical modeling and simulation, and computational cluster support.
Previous Projects:
Setup a high-performance computing (HPC) cluster
Automate offline third-party application updates for Corvid's classified networks
Develop binary installers for in house module deployment/configuration
R&D high availability for BeeGFS, Corvid's current HPC storage solution
Construct HPC pods & racks to extend Corvid's primary supercomputer
Assist technicians with the maintenance and configuration of our HPC's water circuit, power circuit, PDUs, CDUs, and HVAC equipment
Required Qualifications:
Pursuing a BS in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
Scripting experience (Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar)
Minimum GPA: 3.5
Ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
Strong desire and ability to learn
Good communicator with strategic, analytical, and creative thinking skills
Ability to thrive in an extremely fast paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Object-oriented programming experience
Experience in scripting/automation

This position will work with one or more experienced contract managers, project engineers or estimators to help the individual gain the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to be able to take on total responsibility for the success and profitability of projects. The successful candidate must be a “people person” with the ability to gain support and cooperation from field supervision and customers. This candidate will begin training by providing support to the management of complex construction projects. Tasks will include assisting Contract Managers with design engineering review and coordination, estimating, scheduling, work planning and other functions required to become a successful Contract Manager. The employee will be given more and more complex assignments as their skill and knowledge grow. They will learn practical hands-on use of applicable regulations, codes, calculations and estimates as well as budgeting, pricing, and construction installation. Qualifications

Primary Function
Our plant is accelerating its Smart Factory and digital transformation initiatives, and we're looking for a motivated Computer Science student to join us as an intern. This role blends programming, hands‑on hardware installation, data collection, and real‑world manufacturing problem‑solving. You'll work directly on the production floor, partner with operators, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to bring new technology solutions to life.
Responsibilities
Collect and organize production data to support Smart Factory and continuous improvement initiatives
Assist with programming tasks using HTML, JavaScript, C+, and Ignition software
Install hardware and devices on the production floor, ensuring proper setup and functionality
Work with external vendors to coordinate equipment installation and integration
Support implementation of new digital tools and systems across the plant
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams including engineering, operations, IT, and maintenance
Build strong working relationships with operators to ensure smooth adoption of new technologies
Work with graphics interfaces and Red Lion systems to support HMI and data‑display needs
Assist with basic mechanical tasks related to mounting, wiring, or configuring equipment
Contribute to SolidWorks tasks (a plus, not required)
