Kelly King has served as chairman of BB&T Corporation since January 2010; president and chief executive officer of BB&T Corporation and chairman and chief executive officer of BB&T since January 2009; chief operating officer of BB&T Corporation and BB&T from July 2004 to December 2008; and president of BB&T Corporation from 1996 to June 2004.
