POSITION OVERVIEW:
MKTG Brand Educators are brand enthusiasts that educate consumers on high profile brands during Non-Premise and experiential special events. They must be able to deliver a safe and unique experiences, and help consumers make informed brand decisions. They are expected to interact and actively engage consumers at the point of purchase and experience, with the end goal of reinforcing and/or increasing brand awareness. The Brand Educator embodies the brand they represent and humanizes the brand as a result. They build consumer trust by providing product knowledge and education.
Brand Educators (BE's) have a wide range of job responsibilities related to engaging consumers to recognize, prefer and purchase our client brands. For this reason, MKTG hires personable, friendly, and professional Brand Educators. In addition to participating in promotional events when selected, BEs are expected to complete regular online trainings regarding our client brands. BE's must have the ability to immerse themselves in order to obtain an extensive level of knowledge including Category, Product Distillation/Production and Brand with the ability to pass exams testing said knowledge. BEs must be able to successfully showcase their knowledge and ability to engage by showcasing a “Final” two to three minute presentation, in order to represent brands at events.
This position is an Occasional Employment Position. Being hired as a Brand Educator does not guarantee that the employee will be assigned to any particular quantity of assignments. Brand Educator must sign-off on all required forms and must adhere to all MKTG Policies & Procedures.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Follow all Covid-19 related Safety Standards
Actively engage and educate consumers at the point of experience, purchase and consumption
Humanize the brands and build trust of consumers through education
Lead consumers through a sampling journey of featured product(s) (where legal and within local legal limitations and as per policy)
Regularly complete digital training for market brand and programs as directed
Adapt to tech platforms to receive and input information necessary to represent the Diageo brands
Arrive to events on time, in appropriate attire as specified
Distribute premiums to consumers
Follow Responsible Server Guidelines and report Guideline violations
Pay for bar spend or product via company issued debit card
Pick up or accept delivery of promotional materials from Event Team
Ensure proper care and return of company property (i.e. - uniforms, event materials)
Complete post-event recap (ERF) in MKTG reporting website
Take digital event photos and contribute to markets social media account
Understand how Diageo brand differs from competitors and report on competitive activity in market
Maintain appropriate appearance for consumer engagement
Follow company policy and procedures
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:
Outgoing Brand Knowledge and Personification of the Brand - BE must complete training in order to understand what the brand/program represents, stands for and how it differs from other brands. BE must be able to translate brand information to consumers in a relatable manner. BE must be able to maintain a pleasant disposition & demeanor under stress. BE must have the ability to work in a team atmosphere
Engaging - BE must be outgoing, personable and courteous with consumers and approach them with a friendly and helpful attitude, with the goal to build trust in the brand.

Member Experience Ambassador (MEA) serves as the heartbeat of our clubs. They are skilled in fostering meaningful connections and delivering exceptional service to our members, guests, and team. Guided by a strong dedication to both people and fitness, MEAs play a vital role in motivating and supporting individuals throughout their wellness journey. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Get to know each member/prospective member/guest and share our fitness philosophy. Provide membership options and help determine the best option based on their personal fitness goals
Support new members through our FitStart program, familiarizing them with the club and equipment
Assist members/new members with downloading the mobile app and getting started
Give club tours and highlight club amenities, activities, programs, and current promotions that align with the unique needs, interests, and goals of each member and potential member
Stock/Sell/Recommend retail items that will support the member's specific fitness goals
Provide excellent customer service by promptly and accurately responding to member needs via incoming calls to the club or in person and completing requested changes to memberships
Build our community through a consistent member experience that is welcoming and motivating - don't just meet expectations - exceed them with every interaction!
Responsible for following and adhering to our Clean Approach
Resolve concerns/problems ensuring our members' needs are met and company guidelines are followed
Maintain a safe environment through the correct implementation of safety policies and procedures
Assist in building our community of members through a consistent member experience
Assists in other areas of the club when needed
During the season, where applicable, monitor the pool and slide as needed and implement slide rules at all times

Requirements
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Passionate about fitness and helping others in their fitness journey
Basic fitness and sales experience
Excellent communication and listening skills both in-person and phone
Demonstrated customer service experience: friendly, outgoing, and approachable disposition
Works well under pressure and time constraints, and displays positive behavior in all member contacts
Basic computer skills
Attend and participate in required meetings and trainings as needed
Willing and able to work a flexible shift: evenings, weekends, and holidays
Bilingual skills a plus
Current CPR or ability to pass CPR certification within 60 days of hire date
First Aid Training, required only at clubs with pool slides

What You Get To Do
Act as a spokesperson for the brand, embodying its values and mission.
Engage with account managers and event staff for planning and event execution purposes to increase brand visibility.
Engage with consumers during high priority Off-Premise sampling events at grocery stores, liquor stores, etc.
Interact with consumers and management during on Premise events at restaurants, bars, community events, etc.
Execute occasional event marketing for local community events.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Get to know each member/prospective member/guest and share our fitness philosophy. Provide membership options and help determine the best option based on their personal fitness goals
Support new members through our FitStart program, familiarizing them with the club and equipment
Assist members/new members with downloading the mobile app and getting started
Give club tours and highlight club amenities, activities, programs, and current promotions that align with the unique needs, interests, and goals of each member and potential member
Stock/Sell/Recommend retail items that will support the member's specific fitness goals
Provide excellent customer service by promptly and accurately responding to member needs via incoming calls to the club or in person and completing requested changes to memberships

REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent
Passionate about fitness and helping others in their fitness journey
Basic fitness and sales experience

Works well under pressure and time constraints, and displays positive behavior in all member contacts
Basic computer skills

Education and Experience Required:
Must be at least 16 years of age
