ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES 1. Utilize verbal de-escalation skills during crisis intervention. 2. Connect and build rapport with clients in crisis. 3. Visit waiting rooms regularly to assist clients when possible. 4. Secure premises and personnel by patrolling property; inspect buildings, equipment, and access points; permit entry. 5. Obtain help when necessary by calling codes, calling 911 or emergency personnel, and/or by sounding alarms. 6. Complete reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities; interviewing witnesses. 7. Assist clients, patients, vendors, and/or contractors with finding their way within the clinic. 8. Serve as an information resource for clients, patients, vendors and/or contractors needing assistance. 9. Prevent losses and damage by reporting irregularities; inform violators of policy and procedures. 10. Regularly check bathrooms and makes sure they are clean and stocked. 11. Responsible for helping to maintain the entire property in an attractive, comfortable condition. 12. Assist with trash pickup on the property 13. Regularly patrol parking lot to ensure vehicles are secure. 14. Regularly patrol parking lot and assist clients/patients as needed. 15. Maintain a safe environment by reporting facility safety concerns to appropriate staff. 16. In collaboration with the Health center manager, support with routinely conducting safety drills. 17. In collaboration with the Health center manager, be present if needed to present a behavior contract to a patient. 18. Performs other duties as assigned.
