Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator - Eastern Shore Department: Construction / Grading Reports to: Project Superintendent
Major Role and Purpose:
Operate heavy equipment to move and level materials, such as dirt, sand, and stone.
Description of Duties:
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.
Spread dirt in fill area.
Perform rough and fine grade operations.
Run a fill area.
Read slope stakes.
Cut and fill slopes and/or designated construction areas to the job's specifications
Direct trucks and equipment where to off-load, stock, or spread material loads.
Dress and clean up job at the completion.
Water, oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
Operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner.
Willingness to work nights and weekends.
Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma Preferred.
Work Experience/Qualifications:
3-5 Years operating Dozers for rough and fine grade operations.
OSHA and/or MSHA certification a plus.
Ability to read and interpret grade elevations and stakeout.
Valid Driver's License in good standing.

Summary/Objective:
Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Human Resource Business Partner (HRBP) will partner with regional managers in assuring the smooth and efficient delivery of HR processes, policies, and services. Assures HRIS and data reflects accurate state of company and employees.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Work Environment:
Work time will be mainly indoors/office with some time spent outdoors/field.
Exposure to dust, fumes/offensive smells, and chemicals (fuel, concrete) in the field.
Close proximity to moving mechanical parts when in the field.
Noise level varies from low to loud depending on location, i.e., office to plant, respectively.
Physical Demands:

Experience:

Operate vehicles and equipment in a safe manner at ALL times. Wear all required safety equipment. Follow all safety guidelines and notify the Manager or Safety immediately of any current or potential safety issues.
Perform all required inspections.
Follow all environmental regulations. Dispose of chemicals, trash, etc. in designated areas. Recycle when required. Notify the Manager immediately of any current or potential environmental problems.
Keep the shop area and all tools, shop vehicles, and equipment neat, clean, and in good repair. Clean work area at the end of every work shift. Maintain security of all company equipment and tools at all times. Notify the Manager of any problems.

Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator - Richmond
Department: Grading
Reports to: Project Superintendent / Project Foreman
Major Role and Purpose:
Operates Heavy Industrial Equipment such as Dozer's, Excavators, Backhoes or other grading or excavating equipment to move and level materials, such as dirt and gravel.
Description of Duties:
Monitors the activity within the site.
Follow all safety policies and procedures.
Spread dirt in fill area.
Clear and grub area being worked.
Perform fine and rough grade operations.
Run a fill area.
Read slope stakes.
Cut slope to the job's specifications (type of slope, ditch cut depths, and fill section heights).
Direct trucks and equipment where to off-load, stock, or spread material loads.
Dress and clean up job at the completion.
Water, oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
Operate equipment in a safe and consistent manner.
Willingness to work nights and weekends.
Perform all other duties deemed necessary or assigned.
Education:
High School Diploma Preferred
Preferred Experience:
3-5 Years Operating Various Heavy Equipment.
Valid Driver's License.
Understand GPS grade control.
Knowledge of grades.
