Qualifications
Excellent interpersonal, communication and facilitation skills
Electrical/Electronic technical degree or 1-3 years of experience in the electrical/electronics, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic fields are required and the ability to demonstrate high proficiency in these areas
Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
A thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic components and equipment including the use of special instruments for diagnostic purposes
Ability to work with limited supervision and follow company safety policies and procedures
Computer experience/operation and PLC programming are necessary
Willingness to work across shifts and additional hours as required
Excellent organizational skills
Maneuverability throughout facility
Ability to reach, squat, bend, climb and lift 35lbs manually
Some walking and standing required
Close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth reception required
Responsibilities
Position summary: The Maintenance Technician Team Member position provides plant support by conducting, maintaining and repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic systems and components
Maintenance Team Members apply knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical principles in determining equipment malfunctions and applies skills in restoring equipment to operation
General purpose: Provides skilled mechanical, electrical, electronic support to all areas of Manufacturing
Troubleshoots and repairs mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic and electrical/electronic equipment including but not limited to programmable controls, numeral controls, power supplies, drives, gauges and test equipment
Plans and performs work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, writing specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment
Inspect and test equipment in order to locate damage or worn parts and diagnose malfunctions, or read work orders or schematic drawings to determine required repairs
Installs, starts up and shuts down equipment in accordance with company safety procedures for machine activation and shutdown and in line with OSHA requirements
Advises operators and other mechanics of operation procedures and requirements for working safely with electrical/electronic and mechanical equipment and components
Informs appropriate management and mechanics of potential electrical/mechanical problems and inherent dangers involved
Maintains company-required performance and maintenance records for identified equipment
Performs preventative maintenance functions as directed
Assist maintenance personnel with technical troubleshooting
Assist and trains other maintenance and/or other technical level employees
Performs other duties as required
Work environment: Work will be primarily performed in a climate-controlled environment
