Responsibilities:
Lead the field observation and inspections staff during construction activities on large transportation projects such as transit, corridor, CMGC, and Design-Build projects.
Actively oversee and document the progress of work in the field.
Work with project team to understand project specifications and document construction activities.
Prepare and/or review project documentation, including daily diaries, quantity calculations, change orders, and quality oversight of construction activities.
Troubleshoot construction issues providing construction perspective and value engineering in collaboration with engineering staff.
Assist with training & mentoring of junior staff.
Assist in scoping and bidding new work.
Develop and maintain mutually beneficial relationships with clients, owners, contractors, and project staff.

Provide oversight and coordinate workloads.
Perform project management duties for contract drilling projects.

Assist with budget, P&L reporting and/or accounts payable responsibilities.
Equipment Maintenance and Repair
Maintain maintenance records regarding the repair and general condition of the drill rigs, support trucks and other equipment
Ensure all offices are compliant with individual state rules and regulations with regards to drilling activities
Training and Development
Assist with establishing and refining strategic direction for the drilling department
Responsible for staffing, training & scheduling
Mentorship of drilling staff

Act as a liaison between engineering and environmental consulting

Job Description
We are hiring a 4 to 7 year environmental consultant to join our transportation and transit-focused environmental consulting group at either our Bloomington or White Bear Lake MN location.
