SummaryBraun Intertec is seeking a Geotechnical Field Technician to join our Renewable Energy and Infrastructure team in our Dallas, TX office. This role will play a critical part in success by providing effective execution of field scopes of work assigned by engineering staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded by providing exceptional service, coordination, and technical guidance.
Job Description
Responsibilities
Perform various field activities on geotechnical projects including, but not limited to, pile load testing, field electrical resistivity testing, and soil logging.
Demonstrate thorough understanding of pile load testing (PLT) procedure.
Manage PLT and other field equipment, including planning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and stewardship.
Communicate with members of the consulting group on project progress and issues that arise.
Supports the company safety policy and is responsible for implementing safe work practices.

As a Fugro Intern, you will be allowed to learn and apply Offshore and/or Land Geotechnical, Surveying, Geophysical/Geological, Geospatial, and Engineering skills in our Site Characterization, Asset Integrity business lines. Successful candidates will receive diversified training through on-the-job assignments using the technical skills acquired in college. Assigned projects will develop the interns both technically and professionally. Each intern will be assigned a technical mentor and supervisor to ensure a productive and engaging assignment.
Interns are typically matched to one of the service lines based on discipline. Within that service line, the intern will be responsible for completing one or more projects during the internship. The intern will work within established engineering and/or operations teams.

Braun Intertec is seeking students pursuing degrees in engineering, construction management, or related field; and other interested candidates to join our Dallas, CO office for a 6-month Co-op opportunity.
Chosen Co-ops will receive in-depth technical training and industry certifications upon successful completion of examinations and demonstration of ability. As a Co-op, you will get the chance to perform a variety of testing on construction materials such as soils, concrete, masonry, and asphalt. Onsite materials testing is conducted on various commercial and transportation construction projects, where you will also work with project managers and other technicians to ensure specifications are followed.
Candidates should be comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions and be able to lift 75+ pounds. Co-ops will frequently be required to reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. At times, this position may be working at or on uneven terrain, varying heights, in confined spaces, or supported trenches.
