Good pay and benefits. The company offers not only an annual bonus but also profit sharing. That profit sharing gets paid directly into your 401K. That's a nice bump up into it every year.
You're actually expected to do your job. I can't really call that a con.
Just 1, I can't do that. Fully equipped, on site gym with 24 hour access. Bagels and fruit every Wednesday. Regular free lunch & learns. An active staff social committee that arranges days / evening out and social events at work, like a craft event where employees get to show off their side hustles. Beer exchange, Chili cookoff. Good health benefits...
The CEO is the king of this castle, but that does not mean he's not open to hearing opinions and new ideas. I've always found him to be very easy to talk to. Even with his ridiculously full schedule, if you see him in his office or in the hallway, he's always willing to give you a few mins if you need to talk.
I'd say at this point in time, things are great. I've been here a while now and thing have changes a whole lot, for the better in this time. This is a very 'bring your people up' type of place. Train the people below you to one day be your replacement, for when you take the next move up.
I didn't prepare. I answered the questions honestly. I took my time to calm my nerves and chatted openly. My interview was with the CEO and a senior VP and I was surprisingly comfortable.
In this area of the USA I think that Brayman is average to above average with pay. I know that the CEO is not afraid of paying good money for the right people.
Brayman does as well as anyone else. We can only hire from the list of people who apply. Brayman will hire the right person, no matter if they're white, black, make / female, gay / straight etc. I've seen them hire people in their 40's to positions where they may have an aim for high school grads. Everyone gets a fair shot here!
I get mostly left alone to do what I do and grow my dept in the best way I see fit. Brayman does not want to hold everyone's hand. If you're a go-getter and want to forge your own path, Brayman is a great place to do it.
