1994

When in 1994 it acquired F & A Wulfing of Gevelsberg, Brenntag closed down two other warehouses in Solingen and Wuppertal.

1997

In 1997 Brenntag also acquired the Franco-Belgian company Bonnave, with cumulative annual sales of DM 165 million in the two countries.

1998

1998 Acquisition of Milsov

In fact, its cooperation with Biesterfeld had caused some in Germany to speculate that the companies might merge, though as of early 1998 this had not materialized.

2000

2000 – Acquisition of Holland Chemical International, then the fifth-largest chemical distributor worldwide, with large market shares in Scandinavia, Eastern Europe and the United States, and the leading market position in Latin America, where Brenntag previously had not been represented

2004

2004 Development of facilities in Germany and Brazil

2004 – Significant advances in facilities, including fully automatic high-bay warehouse in Duisburg, Germany and expansion of key hub facility in Sao Paulo, Brazil

2005

2005 Quadra Opening of a facility in Poznan, Poland and integrated distribution center in Lancaster, Texas.

2007

2007 Multiple Acquisitions Continued growth through targeted acquisitions, including St Lawrence Chemical in Canada and Ulrich Chemical and Schoofs in the United States Acquisition

2008

2008 United States DEF Business Established Brenntag North America joined the market when they announced the availability of Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) for Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) vehicles throughout their network of over 140 US and Canadian stocking locations News

2010

On 21 June 2010, Brenntag AG joins the MDAX index of Deutsche Börse.

2012

2012 – Brenntag looks back on a successful history in the chemical distribution industry for 100 years.

2013

2013 – With the acquisition of Blue Sky Environment Pty Ltd Brenntag increases its presence in Australia.
