    The Preconstruction Specialist will focus on electrical system layout and electrical cost estimating. In addition, this position will provide overall MEP proposal support as an integral member of project development teams. This position will direct and focus effort and expertise to execute preconstruction efforts as projects transition from the sales cycle to the operations team. DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES: Focus in the electrical engineering and estimating trade including electrical power distribution, fire alarm, and low voltage systems. Apply basic engineering principals, critical thinking skills, and creativity to develop solutions utilizing existing infrastructure when possible. Organize and lead the development of solutions and associated scopes of work. Review existing drawings of electrical systems and apply to new system designs. Perform necessary field work to develop a thorough understanding of the existing electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems. Engage and secure appropriate engineering and trade resources based on the project requirements. Coordinate with vendors and subcontractors to secure project materials, equipment, labor, etc., as required by the project.
