Brewster Academy company history timeline
The roots of our history began in 1820 when the Wolfeborough and Tuftonborough Academy was founded.
For sixty years it charged no tuition fee to local residents, and, from its inception until 1964, the school served as the only high school in Wolfeboro, as well as serving day students from neighboring towns.
Serving as a school for the local population for more than 140 years, Brewster transitioned to its more traditional and current role as an independent school in 1965 when Kingswood Regional High School opened up the street.
In 1985, Digital Equipment Corporation co-founder Ken Olsen donated a number of Digital personal computers to Brewster.
