Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive family medicine care in a clinic setting, including yearly physicals, well visits, sick visits, referrals, sports physicals, laceration repair, and drainage procedures
Manage a patient volume of 18-20 per day in the clinic
Deliver emergency care in a small critical access hospital ER, handling 6-8 ER patients per day
Stabilize and arrange transfer for critical patients, including those with chest pain, trauma from car accidents, and acute illnesses
Perform intubation, arterial line, and central line placements as needed
Cover inpatient unit with an average daily census of 3 patients
Conduct early morning rounds for admitted patients
Care primarily for an adult and older patient population, with minimal pediatric cases
Additional Information
Nebraska medical license required
Board certification in Family Medicine required
Must have experience in both clinic and emergency room settings
Ability to intubate and perform A-lines and C-lines required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
