Job Summary
We are seeking a Senior Civil/Environmental Engineer (PE preferred) to join our team! We are looking for someone with at least 10 years experience in the design of municipal infrastructure projects. We are also looking for someone that can work in a team atmosphere and mentor newer staff.
Responsibilities
Ability to prepare technical and cost proposals
Ability to design basic municipal infrastructure projects such as
Site development plans
Earthwork and contouring
Sanitary sewers
Stormwater systems
Drainage plans
Streets, culverts, and small bridges
Water treatment and delivery systems
Experience in managing project schedules, budgets, and scope of work
Qualifications
Bachelors or higher in Civil Engineering desired
Must hold current state license or be willing to obtain
Proficiency with AutoCAD
The ability to work well both independently and within a team
The ability to provide QA/QC on project deliverables

Penn E&R is seeking a full-time Senior Civil Engineer /Assistant Engineering Manager. While you will be based our of our Pittsburgh, PA office, we offer hybrid/work-from-home opportunities. You will have the opportunity to perform a wide range of tasks across all of Penn E&R's market sectors and be expected to perform both office-based and field-based assignments.
Qualifications include:
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Environmental Engineering or related field
Professional Engineer license
10 to 15 years of civil engineering experience
Work experience in the following is required:
Hydrology and hydraulics
Erosion and sediment controls
Stormwater management controls
Land Development
AutoCAD Civil 3D
Applicable work experience for this role includes:
Provide technical guidance for the preparation of site plans, erosion and sediment control plans, post-construction stormwater management plans, and land development/subdivision plans
Hydrology and hydraulic and drainage calculations
Erosion and sediment control design
Stormwater management calculations
Post-Construction Stormwater Management BMP design
AutoCAD/Civil 3D and standard drafting techniques and applications with experience in the preparation of the following:
Creating 3-D surfaces
Grading plans
Profiles/cross-sections
Pipe networks and corridors
Working with Project Managers to coordinate with clients and prepare proposals

What you'll bring to our firm:
Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering is required
Licensed Professional Engineer in the State of Ohio or the ability to become registered in 6-12 months
Minimum of 12 years of related highway design experience
Familiarity with AASHTO and OMUTCD standards
Prior design experience with Ohio Department of Transportation and/or Ohio Local projects
Hands on experience using CADD/Design Software (preferably OpenRoads) required
Strong written and oral communication skills
Compensation:
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $170,000. Salary is dependent upon experience and geographic location.
