School Custodian BridgePrep Academy of Duval Description:
Custodians are responsible for providing an enhanced learning environment that exemplifies BridgePrep's commitment to excellence through a clean, safe, high-quality facility.
Achievement Metrics
Execute assigned work orders, assuring campus projects are completed within 48 hours
Achieve a proficient rating on the Facilities Rubric and Facilities Audit
Knowledge and Skills
Knowledge of minor repair techniques and building and grounds maintenance
Work with Facilities Manager to identify facilities needs for capital expenditures planning
Use all personal protective equipment 100% of the time
Act immediately to report any unsafe situation on the campus
Order supplies from Facilities Manager within campus guidelines
All chemicals on-hand locked
Values
Value the voices of all staff, families, and students
Work in collaboration to meet the needs of all stakeholders
Seek and respond well to feedback and collaborate to find solutions
Qualifications and Experience
Ability to understand instructions for cleaning, maintenance, and safety procedures
Ability to operate cleaning equipment and lift heavy equipment
Ability to properly handle cleaning supplies
Physical Requirements: Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force as frequently as needed to move. You must be available to work Monday-Friday 9:00-5:30 pm.

90% of Pre-K-2nd students are on/above grade level in reading, language, andmath.
85% of 1st-2nd students are on/above grade level in reading, language, andmath.
80% of students achieve Level3, 50% achieve Level4, and 20% at Level5 on FAST exams.
Junior Class ACT Average Score of 21
100% of BPA seniors meet the requirements for Graduation.
50% of all students in Intervention grow two or more years in Reading and Math.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Adapt lessons to meet the needs of students.
Help shape and develop a school-wide culture that fosters a productive and enthusiastic learning environment for each student.
Establish and maintain a cooperative working relationship with students and families based on trust, understanding, and respect for the communities in which they identify.
Implement and uphold behavior management system that aligns with campus-wide initiatives while developing students' character and sense of community in the classroom.
Complete all lesson internalization based on curriculum vision to achieve district goals
Collect and analyze student data to make effective decisions to maximize achievement
Discuss student's progress with parents, teachers, counselors, and administrators
Implement state learning standards and curricula and assessments to meet ambitious academic expectations.
Implement formal and informal assessments to track each student's progress and learning needs, adjust lesson plans accordingly and update the gradebook weekly.
Communicate students' progress with studentsand familiesevery week
Effective facilitation and personal use of technology as a communication and educational tool to improve student achievement and manage work-related tasks.
Host necessary tutoring sessions to meet all students' needs.
Participate in weekly check-ins, grade-level meetings, before and after-school duties, and school-wide meetings and functions.
Engage in summer and year-long district, school,and personal learning and development.
Minimum of 40+ hours spent at school per week

QUALIFICATIONS
Education: Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year educational institution
Experience: Experience in a classroom setting preferred
