With team support, oversee development and implementation of behavior support plans for individuals with challenging behaviors. Hybrid position requiring on-site work three days per week. Some travel is required. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Leads the process for conducting functional behavior assessments (direct & indirect)
Conducts regular and formal behavior observations across environments and adjusts interventions/plans accordingly. This includes the actual observation, staff interviews, and documentation of progress and observations in clinical notes.
Develops and implements behavior support plans using current and ethical practices of behavior analysis. Requires good writing skills, the ability to meet deadlines, work with others, manage paperwork, and use basic math skills to assess data.
Develops behavioral goals for IEP/ Res Hab. / Day Hab. plan (as applicable) in collaboration with treatment team members.

Collaborates with staff pertaining to behavior problems and/or replacement behaviors.
Provides direct care in the residential setting or Day Hab. as needed with the purpose of modeling behavior interventions for staff members.
Responds to Crisis calls and/or assists with behavioral emergencies
Regularly attends and participates in team meetings.
Provides supervision to BCBAs in training as assigned.
Consults with other professionals and serves as a resource to staff members for information on issues pertaining to psychology (such as behavior analysis, diagnosis, test interpretation, treatments, teaching techniques, therapies, etc.) within their competency and expertise.
Participates in psychiatric clinic/appointments as needed.
Utilizes the Human Rights Committee for restrictive interventions as needed.
Communicates with parents or guardians regarding the behavioral status of participants. Obtains appropriate approvals when needed.
Adheres to ethical standards for behavior analysts, Springbrook policies/procedures, and all oversight agency regulations (OPWDD, NYSED).
Fulfills any other requirements/responsibilities as assigned.
Qualification, Skills and Knowledge Requirements:
BCBA or NY LBA and Master's degree required. Experience working with people with developmental disabilities preferred. Must maintain certification/licensure.
Duties require professional verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency in or knowledge of using a variety of computer software and e-mail applications, especially Microsoft Excel, Outlook and Word; have the aptitude to learn other computer software as necessary.
Must be able to lift 50 lbs. independently and assist in lifting weights exceeding 50 lbs.
Meet the requirements to drive Springbrook vehicles as required.
Be able to perform all physical interventions.
Work on site three days per week.

Position Overview
As a Registered BehaviorTechnician (RBT) at CALM, you'll play a hands-on role in implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). Key Responsibilities
Provide direct ABA therapy to children and young adults in home, school, and community settings.
