The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping students succeed, strong communication skills, and the ability to tailor instruction to meet individual learning needs. Key Responsibilities * Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring in reading and math for students in grades K-8. * Collaborate closely with classroom teachers to align tutoring with classroom instruction. * Use student data to plan targeted lessons and interventions. * Track student progress and make instructional adjustments as needed. * Maintain accurate records of sessions, progress, and outcomes. * Manage time effectively to meet the needs of multiple students. * Reinforce classroom instruction and assist with homework or skill-building activities. * Communicate regularly with teachers and/or parents regarding student progress. Duties and Responsibilities of the Elementary and Middle School Cafeteria Employee: * Prepares hot and cold packs, makes sandwiches; slices meats; mixes food; washes fruits and vegetables; opens cans; prepares salads, soups and desserts; cups fruit; helps the cook and baker; serves food; works registers; maintains clean and sanitary conditions in all work areas, including refrigerators, freezers, stock rooms, cafeterias and storerooms. * Adheres to Federal, State and City School Lunch regulations and policy. * Counts and checks all deliveries and correctly stores all food and non-food items. * Prepares, heats, and serves student and adult lunches. * Operates food heating and cooling equipment. * Maintains accountability for all employees and adult lunches and milk served every day. * Completes a daily report as to the amount of each meal component and the number of lunches and milk received, served, retained, and returned. * Collects and deposits monies received from the sale of lunches and milk. * Is responsible for the cleanliness of the general kitchen area and of all foodservice equipment. * Follows sanitary and health regulations in the area of personal hygiene, and when handling and serving food. * Perform any and all duties as assigned.
