The Training Supervisor leads the development and execution of Gaffney's factory training strategy, ensuring alignment with business objectives and the Manufacturing Excellence journey. + On an as-needed basis, assist the Microbiologist and Micro Lab Specialist in the completion of their duties including data entry, finished goods sampling, raw material sampling, and filing
+ Responsible for accurately and efficiently performing chemical testing on incoming goods as per established procedure
+ Responsible for obtaining and performing quality tests on milk storage tanks, STOVEX storage tanks, and blend vats for fat acidity, solids, odor, taste, etc. as required

**EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:**

HOW YOU WILL MAKE AN IMPACT
The Logistics Analyst Internship will focus primarily on items for the company's logistics department in warehouse and transportation operations.
Responsibilities include:
Audit transportation carrier detention and demurrage invoices and create monthly accrual file
Create weekly warehouse throughput forecast
Track and report detention / demurrage KPIs monthly, suggest actions to alleviate risks and costs
Create monthly report on overage tires to scrap
Compile weekly DC snapshot report to give top management an overview/summary of warehousing situation
Weekly review of throughput volumes
Assist with the shipping claim and freight audit process
Will work with transportation management on finding lowest total cost transportation solutions, including both sea and land freight
Create and update reporting on daily detention/demurrage spend
Look for innovative and cost savings initiatives in the inbound transportation area
Will focus on minimizing detention and demurrage costs for incoming product from both domestic and foreign plants
Track warehouse throughput daily
Qualifications
