ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
During the exam, accurately enter information into EHR as dictated by the doctor.
Assist optometrist with patient procedures.
Escort the patient to Optical and introduce to the Optician, reiterating the doctor's recommendations.
Coordinate patient scheduling and monitor patient flow throughout the office, properly communicating delays.
Prepare exam room by cleaning instruments and maintaining inventory of medications and supplies.
Provide a safe, clean, organized and inviting environment for both patients and staff.
Perform other duties and assume various responsibilities as determined by the office manager or team lead, and doctor(s).
SUPPLEMENTARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Depending upon the patient volume and/or patient flow, you may be required to perform the following tasks.
Prepare patients for eye examinations and vision therapy; confidentially instruct patients about medications, tests, and procedures.
Perform various vision and diagnostic tests.
Collect patient medical history and enter data into EHR.
Assist with answering the telephone, scheduling appointments, and effectively maintaining appointment books for doctors, as well as assist in completing recalls.

Escalate issues to proper resource as required.
