    The Academic Achievement Center (AAC) is the largest hub of student academic support services at Bridgewater State University. The AAC provides academic advising for specific populations as well as learning assistance support to undergraduate students. Learning assistance is composed of six centers including Academic Coaching, Accounting & Finance Lab, Tutoring Central, Math and Statistics Tutoring, Second Language Services and Writing Studio. The AAC also houses Student Accessibility Services and Testing Services. The AAC dedicates each day to student success and retention, as well as equity, diversity, and inclusion. Math Services Peer Leaders (PALs) provide learning assistance for a designated section of students with need for developmental skill support. Working closely with a faculty instructor, the PAL attends all class meetings, holds tutoring hours in the Academic Achievement Center, and meets with groups of students in regular tutorial meetings. PALs participate in both pre-semester and ongoing training and development to support their professional growth. Through their work, PALs will actively advance a culture of accessibility and inclusivity throughout AAC and Bridgewater State University community. SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Peer leaders report to the faculty director of Math Services. REQUIREMENTS: Applicants must be currently enrolled as a full-time or part-time undergraduate program at BSU. A major program of study in mathematics or a related field is preferred, but not required. Applicants must demonstrate proficiency in the subject area of the course they wish to serve. A record of effectiveness in learning assistance and/or a strong interest in education with a learner-centered focus is preferred.

Manage all cash disbursements both in the Bank of America CashPro system and recording same in the Banner Finance system for the university. * Assist in the analysis, compilation and entry of data into MMARS (State Accounting System) for research grants and capital projects and programs of the university. * Assist the Staff Associate with grants management duties to include pre-award budget analysis, monthly monitoring of the grants activities for compliance with the grantor requirements and scope of the award, send reports to the grant Principal Investigators (PIs) to ensure accuracy, grants reporting and invoicing per the individual grant's guidelines, grant budget set-up in Banner, and close-out activities. * Assist University departmental managers with inquiries and support relative to budgets and budget modification as needed. * Monitor and analyze complex invoices received by the University accounts payable office with special emphasis on utilities, food service and capital acquisitions. Confer with vendors to explain state or university rules, policies, and accounting procedures governing payments and related financial transactions. * Review all interdepartmental and state chargebacks (prepared by the Accountant I) for accuracy. * Review and approve all investment accounting related analysis and journal vouchers (prepared by the Accountant I} for the University. * Handle the 1099 process at calendar year end. * Initiate and monitor all aspects of bank transfers, wires and manual checks in support of University payments. * Assist in the accounting, reconciliation, & reporting of fixed assets acquired by and disposed from the University. * Assist in the fiscal year closing process and compilation of information needed for audits. * Create financial reports for management using Microsoft Excel and the Argos reporting software; coordinate the scanning of documents using the Banner AppXtender module. * Assist in the implementation of new technologies to improve administrative processes; assist in the drafting, reviewing, improving and implementation of accounting policies, procedures, and internal control processes. * Approve or recommend changes or improvements in grant accounting procedures. * Analyze grant expenditure patterns in order to make recommendations or take appropriate action to control spending. * Perform special projects and other duties as assigned. This course is intended for students in Nursing, Exercise and Sports Sciences, and Environmental and Public Health. Duties and Responsibilities: * Anatomy and Physiology I (BIOL 1200) explores the structure and function of the human organism on the cellular, tissue, organ, and system levels. Cellular metabolism, histology, and the following systems: skeletal, muscular, and nervous (including the special senses) are examined. The lab portion covers basic lab safety (including dissection and chemical safety), the language of anatomy, histology, the skeletal system, the muscular system, and the nervous system (which may include brain and eye dissections). * Anatomy and Physiology II (BIOL 1300) is a continuation of BIOL 1200. The lab portion covers most of these topics and involves some "wet labs" (digestion and urinary systems) and may include some dissections (heart, kidney, and others). * Both courses require the set up and take down of lab exams ("practicals") as well as grading of assigned lab activities (as determined by the instructor and in collaboration with other faculty teaching Anatomy and Physiology). The position is a full-time, open rank, non-tenure track, renewable appointment located in Boston, MA. Responsibilities: This full-time faculty member is expected to bring her/his intellectual and creative capacity to bear in advancement of the program, seeking to serve students by participating in a range of teaching and non-teaching activities that support the advancement of the program. S/he will teach a full teaching load spread throughout the year and will work with the program office on administrative issues and programmatic projects. Teaching & Curricular Oversight (60% of time) Teaching core courses, such as Fundamentals of Artificial Intelligence, Usability and Human Interaction, AI System Technologies, as well as concentration courses in the areas of Applied Machine Intelligence in Finance, Business Ventures, Healthcare, or Human Resources. In conjunction with the Program Lead, developing and implementing course learning outcomes, curriculum maps, resource guides, textbooks, syllabi templates, and updated course materials; includes region-specific coursework, including formative and summative assessment of student learning, fostering student success, and delivering an exceptional student learning experience. Overseeing the instruction of specific courses within the curriculum. Responsibilities include supporting the Program Lead and Program Manager in the selection of instructors, advising on syllabi, and evaluating instructor performance. Identifying and providing recommendations to keep curriculum relevant and industry leading. Working with the Program Lead to ensure regional programs meet license/accreditation requirements and participate in comprehensive regional evaluations and periodic reviews. In collaboration with the Program Lead, creating modularity guidelines and recommendations for program content integration across the programs and regional campuses. Teaching and actual course load may vary with other responsibilities, which include, but are not limited to: Program, Region, and College Support (20% of time) Creating and supporting local events to add value to the experience of AMI students at the Boston campus, including events that connect students with local industry practitioners, associations, and employers. Coordinating with the Program Lead and CPS leadership in the creation and management of local industry advisory boards as may be required. Representing the program in regional orientations, open house events, and admitted student events. Tracking the progress of AMI students in conjunction with campus staff, including academic advisors and other faculty members, to support student success. Identifying and engaging possible co-op and experiential learning sponsors to establish relationships and define engagement. Participating in program and faculty committee meetings as applicable. Serving on committees that support the mission of the program and the vision of the College and wider University. Support the definition of processes and best practices for leveraging professional networks within the region and among the private sector to create deeper connections between stakeholders. Contribute to an interdisciplinary environment through active collaboration with faculty and staff across Northeastern's Global University network. Faculty & Student Support (20% of time) In coordination with the Program Lead, assess and enhance instructional quality of courses by offering follow-up coaching to part time faculty across the Northeastern network for courses assigned to him/her. Collaborating with the Program Lead to recruit and vet qualified candidates for part time faculty positions. Assisting the program in the onboarding of new part time faculty across the Northeastern network for courses assigned to him/her and maintaining ongoing communications and mentorship to gauge engagement within the program. Providing opportunities for part time faculty to engage with program and college activities; seek their professional and curricular feedback. Faculty enjoy a collegial work environment that allows for work-life balance and are expected to be available to students online as needed for their coursework. Qualifications: The successful candidate must demonstrate strong teaching abilities and a dedication to continued improvement as an educator. Experience teaching at the master's level, teaching and developing on ground and online courses, and proven success in working with international students are desired attributes. The successful candidate will have the following qualifications and characteristics: A terminal degree from an accredited institution in computer science, statistics, analytics, data science, or a related field 3+ years of professional experience in applied artificial intelligence, machine learning, advanced analytics, or data science. Possessing knowledge about how to manage, analyze, communicate, visualize, and lead with artificial intelligence is a plus. Excellent written and oral communication as well as presentation skills, with an ability to communicate technical concepts / solutions to external business partners, students, and other stakeholders.
