As an Interventional Radiology Technologist, you will provide technical assistance in performing diagnostic and interventional procedures. A caregiver in this position works days +on-call requirements, 9:00am-5:30pm. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology * Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing * Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist * Basic Life Support certification Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist * Knowledge of radiologic physics and computerized vascular equipment, so as to safely inject and image human vascular anatomy. * Thorough knowledge of vascular anatomy and pathology sufficient to apply to interventional and diagnostic exams. * Must be knowledgeable of sterile technique with ability to create and maintain sterile environment. * Can function well with minimal to no supervision, especially during after hours call-in emergency service. Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may go on to specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging and nuclear medicine. A caregiver in this position works nights, it can be : 4-10's (8:30pm-7am) OR 3-12's (6:30pm-7am) , no call. A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Adjust and control complex electronic equipment in applying ionizing radiation for radiographic and fluoroscopic examinations. * Prepare and position patients prior to procedures to ensure their safety and to obtain desired reports for diagnostic purposes. * Calculate and select appropriate equipment and technical factors such as proper type of film and number of kilovolts or milliamperes. * Maintain working condition of all equipment and report any malfunctions or needs for adjustments to appropriate personnel. * Assist in maintaining sanitary condition of radiology area. * Comply with all Radiology information system entry requirements for accurate patient, film, supply, tracking monitors. * Assist and support the Radiologic student program, specifically the clinical aspect. * Complete mandatory education and training to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * Completion of a Radiologic Technology program from an approved school * Registered Radiographer (R) with American Registry of Radiology Technologists * Current Radiology state license * Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the American Heart Association (AHA) Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: * One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. While growing alongside your team, you can also explore opportunities offered through Cleveland Clinic, such as Imaging school or advanced MRI, Cat Scan or Ultrasound Programs. **A caregiver in this position works PRN/varying shifts.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures. + Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. + Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS. + Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam. + Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. + Maintain documentation. + Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator. + Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients, and process billing.
