Radiology Technologists use x-ray equipment to obtain images of the body interpreted by a Radiologist and are responsible for preparing patients for the exam, moving and instructing the patient into the proper position, correctly operating the equipment, and obtaining a high-quality image while minimizing radiation dose to the patient. Radiology Technologists may specialize in more specific imaging techniques such as bone densitometry, cardiovascular-interventional radiography, computer tomography, mammography, magnetic resonance imaging, and nuclear medicine. In this role, your goal will be to help identify the medical issue through your scans. Come be a part of a great team that will allow you to advance your skills each day. **A caregiver in this position works Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights from 7:00PM - 7:30AM.** A caregiver who excels in this role will: + Perform general radiology exams, portable exams and fluoroscopic procedures. + Produce quality images for interpretation with accuracy and without delay. + Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via PACS. + Ensure patient comfort and safety during and after the exam. + Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment and exams to ensure understanding and cooperation. + Maintain documentation. + Address equipment malfunctions, notify management and report malfunctions to the help desk and PACS administrator. + Assist with scheduling procedures, monitor and determine priority of patients and process billing. + Provide instruction and mentoring to new hires and Radiology students. + Potentially rotate through all diagnostic imaging modalities, sites and/or locations. Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology + Registered Technologist credentialed by The American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and in good standing + Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist + Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross + Knowledge of anatomy and related pathologic processes Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: + One year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist **Physical Requirements:** + Standing and walking for extended periods of time + Lifting or assisting patients of varying weight and manipulate equipment daily **Personal Protective Equipment:** + Follow standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required **Pay Range** Minimum hourly: $26.00 Maximum hourly: $40.50 The pay range displayed on this job posting reflects the anticipated range for new hires.
