We strive to be the best department to receive care and to be the best place to work Surgical Technologists, sometimes called "scrub techs," assist with procedures under the supervision of surgeons and RNs, helping ensure quality patient care before, during and after the operative procedure. In this role, you will perform a variety of tasks, such as checking supplies and equipment, setting up sterile tables, passing instruments to the surgeon and sterilizing instruments after procedures. This position offers a unique way to gain hands-on experience in an operative environment while making a lasting difference in the lives of patients and caregivers every day. Ultimately, surgery could not be possible without your support. A caregiver in this position works days between the hours of 7:00 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. with the ability to float to Marymount Hospital A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Perform scrub functions and assist in circulating functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). * Set up the sterile table and ensure appropriate supplies, drugs and equipment are available. * Assists RN in counting all sponges, instruments, etc. at appropriate times during surgery. * Assist in gowning and gloving surgical team members and draping patients. * Ensure aseptic condition is maintained by the scrubbed surgical team through the procedure. * Participate in the intraoperative "timeout." * Collect, identify and label specimens removed during surgical procedures and gives specimens to circulator for disposition. This ASC is a friendly, safe, and competent facility in which to receive quality outpatient surgical procedures by board-certified general surgeons. Our facility has four operating suites, which encompass a broad range of surgical services, and we are proud of our workplace and newly remodeled environment. In this role as a Surgical Technologist, you will perform a variety of tasks, such as checking supplies and equipment, setting up sterile tables, passing instruments to the surgeon and sterilizing instruments after procedures. This position offers a unique way to gain hands-on experience in an operative environment while making a lasting difference in the lives of patients and caregivers every day. Ultimately, surgery could not be possible without your support. A caregiver in this position works days from 5:45AM - "closing", which can vary anywhere from 3:30PM-5:00PM. Relocation Assistance Available for Eligible Candidates A caregiver who excels in this role will: * Perform scrub functions and assist in circulating functions under the direction of a Registered Nurse (RN). * Set up the sterile table and ensure appropriate supplies, drugs and equipment are available. * Assists RN in counting all sponges, instruments, etc. at appropriate times during surgery. * Assist in gowning and gloving surgical team members and draping patients. * Ensure aseptic condition is maintained by the scrubbed surgical team through the procedure. * Participate in the intraoperative "timeout." * Collect, identify and label specimens removed during surgical procedures and give specimens to circulator for disposition. * Coordinate surgical and clinical schedules and studies for section. * Answer and perform patient phone calls and relay information to/from the provider. * Assist with marketing and practice development.
