The Home Base PSC will play an important role in redefining and reinvigorating the patient welcome and check-in experience. The PSC will be the crucial "face and attitude" of this patient-centered practice. While also providing medical scheduling services, the PSC will have the unique opportunity to work within a supportive team setting enabled by systems and technologies that will allow the employee to provide patient care and services at their highest levels. In addition, the PSC will be responsible to assist in special projects when skillset and capacity allow, as deemed appropriate by the Practice Manager. Job Summary Summary Performs both administrative and clinical functions to support smooth and efficient clinical service or practice operations under general supervision. Performs basic clerical work and tasks that are repetitive and routine. Administrative duties related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, check-out duties. A caregiver in this role will work Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. No weekend or holiday requirements. The unit delivers care to adult and geriatric patients in a manner that accounts for their age and developmental needs, with age-specific competencies required and completed annually. In addition to patients undergoing total joint replacement, the unit manages care for individuals requiring revisions, as well as lumbar and/or cervical decompressions, fusions, and laminectomies. As Health Unit Coordinator (HUC), you will offer unparalleled customer service to patients, families and visitors to enhance the Cleveland Clinic experience.
