At our greenhouse in Loudon, we grow more than 650,000 pounds of leafy greens per year for New Hampshire, Rhode Island, Vermont, Massachusetts, Maine, Connecticut, and New York. We are currently in need of a packer to support our team.
Job Description:
Duties & Responsibilities:
Responsible for carrying out the labor required to complete the daily weighing and packaging plan of leafy greens in a safe and efficient manner.
Adheres to food safety protocols in all aspects of job requirements.
Follows supervisor's instructions in adhering to standardized practices and achieving required results.
Accurately record charts related to performed labor, inspection, and results according to company and regulatory guidelines
Maintain a safe, clean, organized work area
Operate Hand Pallet Jack
Report food safety and quality problems to Supervisor, the SQF Practitioner or directly to Senior Management.
Qualifications:
0-1 years of experience in a production environment or related work experience
Food or agriculture industry experience preferred
On-going training in Food Safety and Sanitation
Ability to fulfill routine logs related to food safety and inspection reports.

Work Conditions:
Coolers/Warehouse/Greenhouse. Employees will work mostly in cooler temperatures ranging between 35-55degrees. Employees will have some exposure to seasonal conditions which may range from extreme heat and humidity in the summer to cold in the winter. Often working near moving mechanical parts. There will be exposure to cleaning chemicals. The noise level of machines and cooling units can be loud.
Physical Requirements:
While performing the duties of this job, employees are expected to constantly use hands to finger, handle or feel, as well as talk and hear. There is frequent standing, walking, reaching with hands and arms, as well as stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing. The lifting requirements to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds, and on a rotating basis constantly lift up to 10 pounds. The employee should have clear correctable vision at close and distance range, as well as peripheral vision to notice safety hazards.

The Packaging Associate is an entry-level position and is responsible for fully support and contributing to the efforts of the packaging team as it executes the daily packaging needs and goals. Responsibilities
Follow company safety procedures and identify opportunities to ensure the safest working environment possible.
Packaging of cans and cartons coming off the can line.
Ensure quality packaging of all cans and kegs and associated packaging materials and labeling.
Cleaning and sanitizing kegs needed for meeting production needs.
Taping of boxes once completely packaged.
Wrapping and placing completed pallets into bonded inventory based on Logistics Coordinator's needs and preferences.
Assist in inventory management as needed
Help in the brewery as needed.
General cleaning of packaging and production area.
Breaking down boxes and discarding them as needed.

Physical Demands
This position can routinely be physically demanding in nature and involves working with potentially dangerous equipment, machinery, exposure to high noise levels, and handling of hazardous materials.

Routinely bends, moves, transports, or lifts 60 pounds and moves 165 pounds safely.
Occasionally climbs ladders.
Can work in both hot and cold temperatures.

Must be flexible with regards to work schedule, based on packaging needs.
Work overtime as needed.

Position Summary
This role works in a production area processing poultry product(s). It requires working with live poultry, raw and/or cooked products. Typical assignments may include live hang, evisceration, debone, cut up, marinating, stack off, Polybag, Retail, Warehouse and more. Usually works five to six days a week; overtime will be required based on production needs.

Your Role at KIK
The packer role is at our Chicago manufacturing facility, making household cleaners, where you will be involved in all activities on a production line ensuring that the product is manufactured following our customer's quality specifications.
What You'll Be Doing
Place empty bottles onto moving conveyor belts.
Pack completed bottles of product into boxes.
Clean labels or product off bottles.
Be responsible for the final quality of every unit that is placed into a customer's shipper. If unsure of the quality standard required, there is a responsibility to check with the Team Leader before packing questionable product.
Be responsible for the safety and housekeeping in the immediate work area. Help to clean up if the packing line stops for any period. Report any unsafe conditions to your Team Leader or Supervisor.
Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices, Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards, and follow all plant policies and procedures.
Other related duties as required.
