Eric Steigerwalt is the president and chief executive officer of Brighthouse Financial. Brighthouse Financial was established by MetLife in 2016 and is a major provider of annuity and life insurance solutions in the U.S.

Prior to his current role, Steigerwalt was executive vice president of MetLife’s U.S. Retail business. He was appointed to this position in February 2012. During 2012, Steigerwalt also served as MetLife’s interim chief financial officer.

Steigerwalt held multiple leadership roles at MetLife over the course of 18 years. He served as chief financial officer for MetLife’s U.S. businesses, as well as the company’s corporate treasurer. Steigerwalt began his tenure at MetLife in 1998, managing many of the operational aspects of MetLife’s demutualization and IPO, and went on to become the company’s first head of investor relations.

Before joining MetLife, Steigerwalt worked in finance at the Equitable Companies and at the Fossett Corporation where he was a derivatives trader.

Steigerwalt is the chairman, president and CEO of Brighthouse Life Insurance Company. He serves on the board of directors for the American Council of Life Insurers, the Wells Fargo Championship’s Champions for Education foundation and is a member of the Charlotte Executive Leadership Council.

Steigerwalt graduated from Drew University with a bachelor’s degree in economics.

Spehar joins Brighthouse Financial from MetLife, Inc. (“MetLife”), where he most recently served as treasurer. Prior to his role as treasurer, Spehar was chief financial officer of MetLife’s Europe, Middle East and Africa segment, where he was responsible for all financial management matters for the segment. Previously, he was head of investor relations for MetLife. Spehar joined MetLife from Bank of America Merrill Lynch, where he was a sell-side equity research analyst focused on the insurance industry.

John Rosenthal is a Senior Managing Director and head of Global Portfolio Management.

From 2004 to August 2011, John was head of Core Securities, with responsibility for Structured Finance assets, Investment Grade Corporate Securities, Private Securities, Municipals, U.S. Government and Short-term securities and Indexed Separate Accounts. Core Securities also managed MetLife’s derivatives/currencies positions.

In 2000, John was named co-head of MetLife's Fixed Income & Equity Investments Department, with oversight responsibility for the Government, Structured Finance, and High Grade Public and Private Corporates unit. From 1994 to 2000, he directed the units responsible for managing the investment portfolios of MetLife's Institutional Business.

John joined the company in 1984 as a Private Placement analyst in the Corporate Investments Department. He advanced through positions of increasing responsibility, including assignments related to MetLife's corporate acquisitions and participation in leveraged buyout investments.

Myles J Lambert is an Exec VP/Chief Distribution & Marketing Ofcr at BRIGHTHOUSE FINANCIAL, INC. and Exec VP/Chief Distribution & Mktg Ofcr at BRIGHTHOUSE LIFE INSURANCE CO. He has worked as Executive Director at Morgan Stanley, Senior Vice President at CITIGROUP INC, and Senior VP:Northeast Region at METLIFE INC. Myles attended Villanova University between 1993 and 1997.

Vonda Huss is executive vice president and chief human resources officer at Brighthouse Financial. In this role, Huss is responsible for leading the human resources, communications, real estate, and community relations organizations. Prior to joining Brighthouse Financial, Huss was the executive vice president and co-head of human resources at Wells Fargo. In this role, Huss led the HR business partner organization and had responsibility for compensation, talent acquisition, HR strategy and employee relations. As the co-head of human resources, she led a team of 2,000 HR professionals globally and played a key role on the company's operating committee and management committee. Prior to assuming the role of co-head of human resources, she was the HR director for Wells Fargo's Wealth & Investment Management division, where she was responsible for leading human capital strategy, leadership development, talent management, compensation, recruiting and employee relations for the 34,000 Wells Fargo associates in that division.

Huss received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Appalachian State University and a master’s degree in business administration from Pfeiffer University. She serves on the YMCA of Greater Charlotte board of directors and is the chair of the executive compensation committee. She also serves on the Novant Health PMC Foundation board of directors.
