FOR 47 YEARS, PLATTE VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER WAS LOCATED ON SEVEN ACRES AT 18TH AND BRIDGE STREET IN BRIGHTON. IN 2007, PLATTE VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER MOVED TO A 50-ACRE CAMPUS AT I-76 AND 144TH AVENUE.TODAY, PLATTE VALLEY IS A 98-BED COMMUNITY HOSPITAL. AS A MEMBER OF THE SCL HEALTH SYSTEM, PVMC HAS BEEN DESIGNATED ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST PATIENT-CENTERED HOSPITALS BY PLANETREE, INC. PLATTE VALLEY'S 10 PILLARS OF HEALING ARE INCORPORATED INTO EVERY PATIENT EXPERIENCE. THEY INCLUDE HUMAN INTERACTIONS, FAMILY, FRIENDS AND SOCIAL SUPPORT, ARCHITECTURAL HEALING DESIGN, EDUCATION AND INFORMATION, NUTRITION, HEALING ARTS, SPIRITUALITY, HEALING TOUCH, INTEGRATIVE THERAPIES, AND HEALTHY COMMUNITIES.DURING 2019, PVMC HAD THE FOLLOWING RESULTS:3,111 ADMISSIONS97,204 OUTPATIENT VISITS 24,391 EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT VISITS 745 BIRTHS 3,209 SURGERIES267,459 LABORATORY TESTSSERVICESWITH OVER 120 PHYSICIANS REPRESENTING MORE THAN 45 SPECIALTIES, PLATTE VALLEY MEDICAL CENTER OFFERS HIGH-LEVEL SERVICES FOUND IN LARGER METROPOLITAN HOSPITALS.
