Providing assistance and hygiene care as directed, including but not limited our Caregivers to: bathing, grooming, oral care, dressing, undressing, toileting activities and assisting with measurements, if necessary
Providing assistance with daily tasks, including but not limited to: feeding, meal preparation, linen changes, light housekeeping, providing transportation to doctor appointments, outdoor activities, and shopping
Assisting client with active and passive mobility work defined by the plan of care, and documenting observed changes to the Director of Nursing
Requirements Certified Caregivers (CNA, PCA, HHA or Nurse Aide)
High school diploma or GED
Successful completion of a CNA license.
Minimum of one (1) year of experience.
Certified CPR and negative TB skin test or chest x-ray
Licensed driver with an insured automobile
Must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
Every other weekends

Primary Responsibilities
Companionship and conversation
Personal Care (assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, bathroom needs, feeding)
Light Housekeeping/Household Management (incl. laundry and linen changing)
Apparel selection (i.e. laying out clothes)
Meal planning and preparation
Medication reminders
Mobility support (standby assist, transfer, hoyer lift)
Transportation using own or clients vehicle
Helping family members learn safe care techniques
Tolerance to small pets (i.e. dogs and/or cats)
Qualifications
Ability to treat clients with dignity and respect
Ability to read, write, and speak English at an average adult level and interpret the Plan of Care Document provided by Senior Helpers
Spanish speakers welcomed; se habla Espaol
Ability to drive is preferred
Ability to use public transportation to get to work
Valid US issued drivers license with no serious driving violations
Ability to be flexible and adapt to new situations
Pass a criminal background check prior to employment with Senior Helpers
Prior experience with dementia patients and senior care, a plus, but not required
Must be able to be reached via phone oremail for shift schedules, client updates and/or emergencies
