Our founder and CEO, Shelly Sun, began her journey in 2001 after having a personal experience looking for quality, trustworthy care for “Grandma Pat.”
So in 2002, she founded BrightStar Care.
After careful validation of the business model at two other company-owned locations, BrightStar Care opened its first franchise location in 2006.
The hard work and dedication of our local agencies to achieve and maintain this accreditation has earned BrightStar Care the Enterprise Champion for Quality designation from The Joint Commission every year since 2013.
