Responsibilities

The Cardiovascular Intervention Center is a core element of the Smidt Heart Institute, performing more than 8,000 procedures a year. The department serves the populations of neonates to and including geriatrics. In this twelve-laboratory facility, we perform a wide range of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures for coronary artery disease, heart muscle function and heart valve dysfunction.
As a Catheterization Lab Technician, you will use physiological monitoring/recording systems to create, manipulate, improve, and record analog and digital radiographic images used in diagnostic, electrophysiology and interventional cardio-vascular procedures and examinations. You will perform a range of technical and supportive patient care tasks in accordance with facility and regulatory requirements. Experienced CVTs that meet the qualifications of Tech I and also have three years' experience along with ACLS and RCIS may qualify for the CVT Tech II position.

Summary of Essential Duties:
Assists with CVIC procedures applying approved protocols per standards of practice for safety, speed, organization, precision, and accuracy based upon the department's accrediting agency and/or department guidelines for exam protocols, adhering to department safety and productivity standards.
Scrubs, monitors, assists, and circulates safely and timely, supplying necessary equipment and performing vascular site management, while supporting FDA approved and clinical research procedures.

About this Position:
HealthPark Medical Center is a 326-bed Acute Care Facility that provides specialized cardiovascular care, comprehensive womens and childrens services, and advanced rehabilitation programs. Its home to the Shipley Cardiothoracic Center, a leader in heart and lung care, and is also recognized for excellence in stroke care, orthopedics, and intensive care services. As a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor, you will assist the director in supervising personnel and overseeing the daily operations of the Respiratory department. Helps to recommend and implement policies and procedures. Understands and follows human resources and health system policies and procedures. Assists the director in hiring, orienting, developing, coaching, counseling and termination of employees. Coordinates equipment maintenance needs, performance improvement, and quality control activities specific to the department. Performs assessment of staff blood gas competencies if qualified as a Key Operator. Measures ongoing performance improvement efforts. Manages supplies and payroll to operate within the department budget. Participates in the interview and decision process for new hires. May also participate in delegating daily assignments and participates on various committees.
Observes activities of staff and provides input for competency evaluations and performs annual evaluations for direct staff. Helps to mentor lead Respiratory Therapists in their development. As appropriate and when needed, performs in the capacity of a Lead or bedside Respiratory Therapist. May represent the department and/or director on campus committees and meetings as designated. Acts as the designated department leader or representative in the absence of the director. Performs functions and duties delegated by the director. Assumes other roles and responsibilities as assigned by the director.
What this Position Requires:
Educational Requirements:Bachelors Degree required.
Experience: Minimum of 5 years clinical experience including all intensive care/critical care areas.
Licensure: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the State of Florida
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required. ACLS, PALS, NRP (as appropriate to job function and population served) required. Credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as a Registered Respiratory Therapist.
*For a Respiratory Therapy Supervisor - Critical Care: Must be credentialed by the National Board for Respiratory Care as RRT-NPS or RRT-ACCS as per population served.

GENERAL SUMMARY: Under the general supervision of the Market Director of Behavioral Medicine, the Manager, Social Work and Clinical Services oversees all day to day social work operations for the behavioral health department. The Manager, Social Work and Clinical Services also provides patient assessment, functions as a member of a multidisciplinary team, and provides discharge planning to patients of all ages.
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Manager of Social Work and Clinical Services is responsible for daily social work operations of the hospital behavioral health units. Duties include but are not limited to;
a. Provides guidance and clinical supervision to department interns, MHC, MSW, LCSW, and LICSW.
b. Responsible for new hire orientation and on-going continuation training of inpatient social worker staff.
c. Provides float coverage to all units requiring social worker services.
d. Assists with the development and implementation of the department clinical and group programing.
e. Assists in the development of department policy and procedures pertaining to social work and other clinical services.
f. Conducts periodic audits and maintains quality assurance of social worker clinical work and documentation.
2. Maintains caseload and provides patient assessment. Identifies and assesses treatment needs and available support network via psychosocial assessments. Assists family specialist in including support network in treatment.
3. Functions as a member of a multidisciplinary treatment team. Identifies patient problem areas, develops treatment plans, and documents patient progress in accordance with established standards.
4. Assesses discharge needs for assigned patients. Identifies aftercare options for individual patients in conjunction with utilization review. Initiates appropriate contacts and follows up with appropriate referral sources. Maintains current knowledge of aftercare services available in the Metro West area.
5. Maintains current in field by attending seminars, continuing education courses, workshops, in-service education sources, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, EXPERIENCE AND OTHER JOB REQUIREMENTS:
· Minimum of 5 years social work experienced required.
· 2 years of clinical assessment in inpatient psychiatric setting and group experience required.
· LICSW required.
