Here's what you'd do:
The Business Developer works to improve BrightView's market position and achieve profitable financial growth. This role helps to achieve long-term organizational strategic goals, builds key customer relationships, identifies business opportunities, negotiates, and closes business deals and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions. The business developer manages the sales pipeline from prospecting to closing and is responsible for full cycle landscape and, depending on region, snow sales. The business developer collaborates and works with partners including operations, finance, marketing, and more to manage responses to bids in an effort to meet sales targets.
You'd be responsible for:
Work with prospective customers to discover their “points of pain” and develop solutions
Accurately forecast sales deliverables and KPI's
Achieve sales goals and be able to work independently
Perform sales prospecting using consultative sales techniques to build long standing business relationships; marketing; pricing.
Prepares and conducts heavy phone prospecting, sales presentations, virtual demonstrations, and handle contract negotiations with minimum supervision.
Identify customer needs and utilize solution-based selling techniques to fully demonstrate value of BrightView services
Cultivate and maintain relationships with prospects and existing clients
Builds and maintains trust-based professional relationships with key decision makers
Plan daily and hit specific activity benchmarks and close business
Logs activity consistently and reliably in CRM (Salesforce)
Works in a fast-paced environment while operating with a high sense of urgency
Communicates proactively with all decision makers and influencers.
You might be a good fit if you have:
Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience
Extensive face-to-face (B2B) selling experience at the mid to senior levels, 3-5 years of experience
Experience managing multiple projects and able to multi-task in a large territory
Proficient with computer programs including MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
Experience with a CRM or SFA tool
Proven track record of sales goal attainment and pipeline management
Highly competitive, positive, and results driven
Excellent presentation skills
Excellent oral and written communication skills to build client-centric and solution/value-based proposals
Working experience with social media
Local knowledge and contacts in one or more market segments preferred
Ability to be self-motivated and self-directed
Experience in the service industry with commercial contract sales desirable

The Assistant Field Manager is responsible for assisting the Field Manager in managing labor and material in the field to complete assigned contract maintenance and snow removal projects. In addition, assistant field managers must develop the people that report to them. Success in this position is indicated by jobs in which contracts are renewed, jobs completed in the budgeted hours, and low negative turnover of assistants and crewmembers. This position must cooperate with other landscape management field managers and enhancement field managers to see that the overall goals of the branch are met.
Responsibilities

Get to know their people in an effort to help them develop within the company.
Be an active part of our training process by attending or conducting certification training sessions on a regular basis.
Plan, schedule and supervise daily production activities on assigned contracts.
Develop a clear understanding of the hourly and cost budgets for each of your jobs. Monitor by reviewing job hours, reports, and job costs regularly and acting as needed. Communicate budget hours to crewmembers.
Monitor quality of work and be proactive in bringing issues to the customer's attention by inspecting the job at the end of each day.
Maintain assigned vehicle and equipment in good working order.
Qualifications
Demonstrated skill and ability to manage others at other levels.

At least one year of experience doing contract maintenance work in a commercial setting.

Planificar, programar y supervisar las actividades diarias de producción en los contratos asignados.

Supervisar la calidad del trabajo y sea proactivo al señalar los problemas al cliente inspeccionando el trabajo al final de cada día.
Mantener el vehículo y el equipo asignados en buen estado de funcionamiento.

Al menos un año de experiencia realizando trabajos de mantenimiento comerciales por contrato.
Un título de dos o cuatro años en horticultura o relacionado y dos años de experiencia en la industria. Experiencia o certificaciones en la industria adicional pueden substituir el requisito de un título.
Habilidad para identificar y diagnosticar problemas de enfermedades e insectos y programar tratamiento adecuado.
Conocimiento práctico de vehículos y equipos utilizados en contratos de mantenimiento y remoción de nieve.
Licencia de conducir vigente con antecedentes limpios de los últimos tres años.

This role plays a key part in supporting the branch's sales and pre-construction efforts by ensuring accurate, competitive, and timely project estimates.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Lead and facilitate the weekly Sales and Estimating Meeting, reviewing the bid schedule with the Branch Manager, Project Estimating Team, and Business Developer.
* Attend all Pre-Job "Turnover/Kickoff" meetings and weekly Staff Meetings with other departments and middle managers.
* Manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective planning and coordination for upcoming work.
* Participate in all Design-Build projects, providing budget estimates or Rough Order of Magnitude (ROM) projections as needed.
* Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Project Estimators to ensure consistent performance and professional growth.
* Utilize standard estimating software to prepare and present data to management.
* Gather, calculate, and compile takeoff data to support bid proposal estimates.
* Perform plan takeoffs, spreadsheet data entry, and detailed analysis of project plans, specifications, and construction details.
* Conduct cost analyses, including material, labor, equipment, subcontractor, and overhead expenses.
* Prepare quantity and labor estimates and obtain subcontractor pricing; develop estimates where no predetermined standards exist.
* Partner with the Branch Manager and Head of Pre-Construction to prepare and review project estimates for completeness and accuracy.
* Ensure all bids include a scope letter with qualifications and exclusions specific to each project.
* Evaluate project documents for constructability and value engineering opportunities.
* Maintain up-to-date pricing information from suppliers and subcontractors.
* Analyze bids for competitiveness, margins, and closure strategies.
* Develop and maintain resource databases for products, vendors, subcontractors, and regulatory requirements.
* Support the overall goals and objectives of both local and regional teams.
Education and Experience:
* Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Landscape Horticulture, Civil Engineering, Construction Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred
* Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in estimating or pre-construction
* Familiarity with On-Screen-Takeoff (OST) and HCSS preferred.
* Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook); experience with Microsoft Project or Primavera Construction Scheduling software.
* Demonstrate strong work ethic and attention to detail.
* Effective oral and written communication skills
* Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
* Proven customer service and relationship management skills
* Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus.
Physical Demands/Requirements:
* Constant operation of a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, a cell phone, and printers/copiers
* Position is sedentary; must be able to remain in a stationary position for the majority of time.
