Snow postings are for PART-TIME; ON-CALL; meaning when our year-round crew cannot handle the snow fall, we will call in Snow-Only help and these roles often have an OVERNIGHT start. The base pay at $25 per hour but could go up from there based on previous experience as well as licenses/certifications you hold. Job Summary * The Snow Truck Driver is responsible for performing all tasks related to snow removal. This on-call position requires availability for shifts ranging from 6 to 12 hours, often scheduled overnight depending on the snow event. Extended hours may be required during major storm events. The snow removal season begins with the first snowfall. Duties and Responsibilities: * Operate a variety of snow removal equipment, including pow and box trucks, ATVs with plows, snow blowers, shovels, and e-pokes (salt spreaders), to ensure safe and efficient clearing of the designated areas. * Work with sidewalk crews to complete snow removal assignments safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. Education and Experience: 3 years of commercial experience using a plow truck or salt truck. 3+ years of commercial snow experience using Skid-Steer, Front End Loader, Backhoe, or equivalent vehicles with plows and snow containment boxes. 18 years of age or older A valid and clean driver's license with no restrictions (CDL is NOT required) Work well under pressure while observing safety guidelines. Have a smart phone (to download and use our attendance tracker App) Dependable transportation. Attendance at and successful completion of required training, as well as passing a background check are mandatory. Able to lawfully work in the USA. Physical Demands/Requirements: * Be able to lift, push, or carry 50 to 60 pounds without restriction. * Be able to work outdoors in freezing and wet weather conditions. Must have proper attire. Work Environment: Outdoor work environment during the winter snow season Shifts are on-call and range from 6 to 12 hours and are often overnight depending on the storm event. Equipment Operator must also clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by policies and procedures. This opening is to cover the two locations we have in Pontiac so you could work out of one, the other or both as it is all the same labor force just different buildings. THE PAY RANGE FOR THIS ROLE IS $20 - $30 PER HOUR BASED UPON PREVIOUS RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD. Snow postings are for PART-TIME; ON-CALL; meaning when our year-round crew cannot handle the snow fall, we will call in Snow-Only help and these roles often have an OVERNIGHT start. THE PAY RANGE FOR THIS ROLE IS $20-25 PER HOUR. YOUR PAY RATE WILL BE DETERMINED BASED ON PREVIOUS APPLICABLE WORK EXPERIENCE AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD. Here's what you'd do: Snow Tech you will be responsible for performing all tasks related to snow removal. Shifts are on-call and range from 6 to 12 hours and are often overnight depending on the storm event. May require longer hours for larger storms. The season starts on the first snow fall. You'd be responsible for: * Responsible for performing all tasks related to snow removal, including operating ATV plows, snow blowers, snow shovels and e-pokes (salt spreaders). * Work with Sidewalk-Crew Leaders as a team to efficiently and safely complete each assignment You might be a good fit if you have: * 18 years of age or older * Work well under pressure while observing safety guidelines with minimal supervision * Have a smart phone (to download and use our attendance tracker App) * Have dependable transportation * You must attend and pass training and a background check * Able to lawfully work in the USA Here's what to know about working here: Here at BrightView, we're as passionate about caring for our clients as we are about caring for each other.
