This position performs basic tasks with supervision and supports the safe operation of commercial grade landscaping equipment as well as the upkeep of plant material and other landscaping elements.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Cut turf using various sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operating a gas-powered blower
* Prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit or to remove damaged branches
* Plant and maintain flower beds
* Operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other objects
* Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris on to the turf before mowing.
* Mulch the leaves and organic matter when mowing.
* Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
* Perform basic, preventative maintenance to extend the life of equipment
* Properly remove trash, dead plants, and suckers from landscape
* Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers
* Report unsafe conditions to Crew Leader or Production Manager as appropriate
Education and Experience:
* At least 18 years old,
* Enthusiastic and dependable
* Ability to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters
* Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower)
* Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices
Physical Demands/Requirements:
* Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
* Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
* Ability to bend, stoop and twist continuously throughout the day
Work Environment:
* Work in/or about situations near direct automotive traffic
* Work near or about natural bodies of water
* Ability to work in extreme conditions - temperatures may exceed 100 degrees Fahrenheit
* Ability to work in direct sunlight for extended periods of time
* Work outdoors in moderate to extreme heat in dry/humid near automotive traffic, natural bodies of water, fumes, dust, mechanical/electrical hazards and direct sunlight.
* Requires protective clothing and personal devices: Eye protection, safety vest, gloves, hard hat, ear plugs, long sleeved shirts, and work boots.
Compensation Pay Range:

Job Summary:
Rocky Mountain Custom Landscapes (RMCL) is seeking a driven and organized Landscape Enhancement Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our landscape enhancement crews. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality service, efficient project execution, and exceptional customer satisfaction. As a key member of our team, you'll play a pivotal role in training, mentoring, and coordinating landscape crews, as well as facilitating communication with clients and management.
Responsibilities:
· Train, mentor, and guide foremen and crew members. Meet with crew and foremen daily
· Works with the Enhancement Manager to recruit, train and develop all crew positions
· Coordinates daily tasks, work and materials for foremen and crews
· Ensure procedures are followed for maintenance and protection of all company assets, such as vehicles, maintenance tools and equipment
· Work with Enhancement Manager to schedule jobs for maximized efficiency and client service
· Manages all work orders and ensures accurate and timely completion and workflow
· Regular and consistent communication with clients to ascertain their needs and exceed expectations
· Proactively assess opportunities for RMCL maintenance to enhance/improve gardens and landscape maintenance at client properties
· Prepares and submits all information needed for purchase orders and proposals
· Consistently communicate with all team members utilizing CTE standards regarding all property needs/notes, meetings, schedules, jobs, etc.
· Receive certifications and continue education in the appropriate horticultural areas
· Perform any and all other duties as requested or assigned by Enhancement Manager
Qualifications:
· 3+ years of experience in landscape enhancement, crew leadership, or similar supervisory roles.
· Strong horticultural knowledge with a focus on enhancement services.
· Proven ability to lead, coach, and grow field teams.
· Excellent organizational and time management skills.
· Proficient in communication across field and client-facing environments.
· Working knowledge of landscape tools, safety protocols, and work order management.
· Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus.
· Valid driver's license required
· Certifications in horticulture or landscaping preferred.

Operating Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:
Education/Training:
* Combination of 5+ years experience and education performing maintenance work within all or most of the trades described. Higher education or Certification in a trade described herein, i.e., electrical, roofing, carpentry, masonry is desirable.
* Previous Electrical troubleshooting and repair/corrective work desired
* Work with at least 120V and 20 Amp Service(s), i.e., Light Fixtures, Ballasts/Drivers, Wiring, Outlets, Timers, etc.
* Management and Customer Service experience desirable.
* Experience with email systems & spreadsheets or ability to quickly learn.
Experience/Knowledge/Abilities:
* Must have experience and verification of experience, performing specific repairs to buildings' exteriors and interiors, i.e., electrical, roofing, carpentry, masonry.
* Must be capable of working extended hours, to include weekends and holidays as necessary.

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare, maintain and restore grounds within the assigned field as directed, including any and all activities or tasks fundamental to baseball/softball field care.

3. Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, sprayers and sod cutters.
4. Report/address field issues such as turf stress, disease, wear areas, etc.
5. Work with other grounds staff as directed and perform other duties as assigned
6. Prepare, maintain, and restore all baseball/softball clay areas including infield skins, mounds, home plate and warning track, and perform other tasks fundamental to athletic turf care
7. Monitor, report and resolve field issues such as turf stress, disease, irrigation problems and pest management issues
8. Perform preventative maintenance operations on various pieces of equipment
9. Assist with tarp handling and inclement weather situations when customer deems necessary
REQUIREMENTS

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare, maintain and restore grounds within the assigned field as directed, including any and all activities or tasks fundamental to baseball/softball field care.
2. Monitor, report, and resolve irrigation issues, problems and/or concerns on assigned field or complex.
3. Operate powered equipment such as mowers, tractors, sprayers and sod cutters.
4. Report/address field issues such as turf stress, disease, wear areas, etc.
5. Work with other grounds staff as directed and perform other duties as assigned
6. Prepare, maintain, and restore all baseball/softball clay areas including infield skins, mounds, home plate and warning track, and perform other tasks fundamental to athletic turf care
7. Monitor, report and resolve field issues such as turf stress, disease, irrigation problems and pest management issues
8. Perform preventative maintenance operations on various pieces of equipment
9. Assist with tarp handling and inclement weather situations when customer deems necessary
