Here's what you'd do:
The Crew Leader executes site level tasks on BrightView's client sites. This position directs the work of 2-5 other employees and ensures assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to the quality standards set by BrightView and BrightView's clients. The Crew Leader oversees crews working in varying service lines including basic maintenance, landscape installation, and supportive services like irrigation, seasonal color management, and chemical applications.
You'd be responsible for
* Maintain a schedule and ensure service expectations are met
* Surface customer problems or concerns and report back to Operations Manager
* Assist in resolving issues with customer service when needed
* Ensure work is performed safely and in accordance with company policies
* Communicate regularly with Operations Manager to ensure client needs and expectations are consistently met or exceeded
* Deliver services as specified on client sites
* Work to identify more efficient ways to perform work
* Coordinate service execution with Operations Manager
* Oversee day to day site operations and delegate work to crew team members
* Provide Operations Manager feedback on crew member(s)
* Work with Operations Manager, helping to develop and train crew members
* Ensure equipment preventative maintenance is performed as needed and equipment is in good working order
* Participate in branch meetings as directed
* Accurately capture and turn in crew time logs through electronic time capture (ETC).
* Log equipment usage and maintenance cycles

Key Responsibilities
Safety & Risk Management

2. Workers' Compensation Management (AZ Focus)
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Workers' Compensation claims, ensuring all reporting and processing align with Arizona Industrial Commission (ICA) requirements and state statutes.
Aggressively manage claims costs by coordinating prompt medical care, facilitating timely return-to-work, and monitoring employee progress in compliance with Arizona's specific claims procedures.
Develop and manage the Light Duty/Return-to-Work Program, ensuring compliance with medical restrictions and the successful reintegration of injured employees.
Analyze loss runs and claims data to identify high-risk trends and implement targeted mitigation strategies to positively influence the company's Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).
Work with legal counsel and adjusters on litigated claims within the Arizona court system.
3. Liability Insurance & Compliance

AAA Landscape Company is seeking an experienced, results-driven Safety Manager to lead, develop, and manage all environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs with a specific focus on Arizona state regulations. This crucial role is responsible for ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards (OSHA, ADOSH, etc.), minimizing workplace risk, managing all Workers' Compensation claims in compliance with Arizona state law, and overseeing liability insurance compliance and reporting. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in landscape, construction, or related service industry safety, exceptional claims management skills specific to AZ, and a commitment to fostering a strong safety culture.
Key Responsibilities
Safety & Risk Management
Develop, execute, and maintain a comprehensive EHS program specifically addressing landscape industry hazards, including:
Arizona-specific heat illness prevention.
Safe operation of heavy machinery, trenching, and excavation (compliant with ADOSH).
Safe use and handling of chemicals, pesticides, and fertilizers.
Conduct regular, formal job safety inspections and audits across Arizona sites, ensuring crew adherence to company and regulatory policies (OSHA/ADOSH).
Lead and document all incident/accident investigations to determine root causes and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Oversee the fleet safety program, ensuring compliance with DOT regulations and safe driving practices in high-traffic Arizona metropolitan areas.
Ensure all employees are properly trained and supplied with appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) suitable for the desert climate.
2. Workers' Compensation Management (AZ Focus)
Serve as the primary point of contact for all Workers' Compensation claims, ensuring all reporting and processing align with Arizona Industrial Commission (ICA) requirements and state statutes.
Aggressively manage claims costs by coordinating prompt medical care, facilitating timely return-to-work, and monitoring employee progress in compliance with Arizona's specific claims procedures.
Develop and manage the Light Duty/Return-to-Work Program, ensuring compliance with medical restrictions and the successful reintegration of injured employees.
Analyze loss runs and claims data to identify high-risk trends and implement targeted mitigation strategies to positively influence the company's Total Recordable Incident Rate (TRIR).
Work with legal counsel and adjusters on litigated claims within the Arizona court system.
3. Liability Insurance & Compliance
Collaborate with the leadership team and insurance broker on General Liability and Auto Liability policy management and renewal processes.
Gather necessary data (payroll, equipment inventory, claims history) for annual insurance audits and renewals.
Manage the process of requesting, tracking, and verifying Certificates of Insurance (COI) from all subcontractors and vendors to ensure adequate liability coverage.
Ensure the company adheres to all contractual safety and insurance requirements specified by clients and project contracts.
4. Training and Safety Culture
Design and deliver mandatory, engaging safety orientation for all new hires and recurring safety training (toolbox talks) for existing employees, including site-specific training for unique Arizona landscape challenges.
Champion a proactive, positive safety culture, encouraging employee involvement and accountability in hazard reporting.
Bilingual (English/Spanish) training capability is highly desirable to communicate with a diverse workforce effectively.
Qualifications
Experience: Minimum of 5 years of dedicated safety management experience, with significant time spent on the landscaping, construction, or heavy equipment industries. Experience working specifically in Arizona is strongly preferred.
Specialized Knowledge:
Expert-level knowledge of ADOSH and federal OSHA standards.
Direct, in-depth experience managing the full lifecycle of Workers' Compensation claims,
specifically in Arizona
, including familiarity with the ICA.
Strong familiarity with liability insurance principles and the role of the EMR, COIs, and loss runs.
Certifications: OSHA 30-Hour required. Professional safety certification (CSP, CHST, ASP) preferred.
Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to deliver impactful training presentations. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
