The pay range for this role is $19-23 per hour; based on previous work experience; AND ANY CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES YOU HOLD.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS OF THE ROLE:
Valid Driver's License: Applicants must hold a valid driver's license.
Chauffeur's Endorsement: A chauffeur's endorsement or chauffeur's license is REQUIRED for this role and the PREFERRED Candidate already holds one. Candidates willing to obtain a Chauffeur's license, prior to starting work and at their cost will also be considered.
Previous experience: minimum of 1 year Landscaping Crew Leader is necessary.
DDOT Medical card: The PREFERRED Candidate already holds one. If you do not have a DDOT Medical Card you MUST be able to pass a Medical exam that includes a drug Test (this is a Federal requirement) post-offer and before starting work.
State of MI (MDARD) Pesticide licenses: The PREFERRED Candidate already has MDARD Licenses and is willing to maintain them and potentially add more as the need arises at the Company's cost.
Irrigation Experience: The PREFERRED Candidate has some experience in Irrigation troubleshooting and repair as well as Spring Start up and Fall Shut down.
Additional checks or requirements may exist and will be discussed at either the interview or during the Onboarding process.

Here's what you'd do:
You'd flex your leadership skills, directing the work of 2-5 team members. You'd ensure assigned tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards. Our crew leaders oversee crews in varying service lines, including basic maintenance, landscape installation, and supportive services like irrigation, seasonal color management, and chemical applications.
You'd be responsible for:
Performance & Quality:
Overseeing day-to-day site operations and delegating work to crew members
Maintaining a schedule, and ensuring service expectations are met
Identifying more efficient ways to perform work
* Client Satisfaction:
* Surfacing client concerns to the Production Manager and proactively assisting in achieving a resolution
Crew Management:
Providing the Production Manager with feedback on crew members
Assisting the Production Manager in the development and training of crew members
Turning in accurate crew time logs
Safety:
Ensuring all crew members perform their work safely and in accordance with company policies
Ensuring equipment is in good working order and receives appropriate preventative maintenance
Logging equipment usage and maintenance cycles

Snow Tech you will be responsible for performing all tasks related to snow removal. Shifts are on-call and range from 6 to 12 hours and are often overnight depending on the storm event. May require longer hours for larger storms. The season starts on the first snow fall.

This is NOT an entry level position; the perfect Candidate has at least 3 years of verifiable work experience as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic with in field/mobile mechanic experience is required and having Diesel/Mechanic State licenses/Certifications is preferred.
A VALID STATE ISSUED CHAUFFEUR'S LICENSE IS REQUIRED FOR THIS ROLE AS WELL AS STATE OF MICHIGAN DIESEL OR MECHANIC CERTIFICATIONS; ASE Certifications are preferred as well. You'd be responsible for:
* IN FIELD/ON-SITE Repair and maintenance of heavy equipment including wheel loaders, dozers, graders, skid steers, agricultural tractors and much more.
* Repair, maintenance, and annual inspections of on road vehicles and equipment including semi-trucks, semi-trailers, class 8 salt trucks, municipal plow trucks, and one-ton pickup trucks.
* IN FIELD/ON-SITE Maintenance and repair of industry specific items such as snowplows, salt spreaders and brine equipment.
You might be a good fit if you have:
* Three to Five years' experience in diesel mechanics with some on-site/field or mobile mechanic experience
* Mechanic Certification (state, ASE, or from a technical school) preferred but not required

DDOT Medical card: preferred Candidate already holds one. If you do not have a DDOT Medical Card you MUST be able to pass a Medical exam that includes a drug Test (this is a Federal requirement).

You'd be responsible for:
Efficiency and client standards are attained
Conducting site inspections, provide hands-on leadership, and provide guidance for soil, planting, watering and insect control.
Driving and maintaining our vehicles, train personnel with a strong emphasis on safety, and handle schedules, and review charts and reports.
You might be a good fit if you have:
2 Years plus of landscape install experience
1 year (minimum) experience managing 2+ person crew
At least one year of experience in lawn care and landscaping a must; supervisory experience desired.
And while not mandatory, it would be great if you also have:
Driver's license and good record, strong leadership, and familiarity with the techniques and equipment used in landscaping.
You also must be able to handle the physicality of our work: weather conditions, heavy lifting (30-80 pounds), and extensive walking.

Job Summary
* The Landscaper I provide landscape maintenance support to a variety of industrial, commercial, and public properties. This position involves performing basic landscaping tasks under supervision, supporting the safe operation of commercial-grade landscaping equipment, and assisting with the maintenance of plant materials and other landscape features.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Cut turf using various-sized power mowers, trimming, and edging using a gas-powered edger/trimmer, and operating a gas-powered blower
* Prune shrubs and low trees as needed to improve the shape or growth habit, or to remove damaged branches
* Plant and maintain flower beds
* Operate the edger and line trimmer along sidewalks, flower beds, trees, buildings, fences, and other objects
* Pick up trash and blow leaves and other organic debris onto the turf before mowing.
* Mulch the leaves and organic matter when mowing
* Perform weeding by hand or using a garden hoe or hula hoe
* Perform basic, preventative maintenance to extend the life of equipment
* Properly remove trash, dead plants, and suckers from the landscape
* Maintain a polite, friendly, responsive demeanor with guests and customers
* Report unsafe conditions to the Crew Leader as appropriate
Education and Experience:
* At least 18 years old,
* Enthusiastic and dependable
* Ability to safely work with equipment like power saws and cutters
* Certified on level 1 equipment (backpack blower, stick edger, string trimmer, walk-behind mower)
* Familiar with basic horticultural maintenance operations/practices
Physical Demands/Requirements:
* Ability to lift and carry 40 lbs. (mulch, fertilizer, etc.)
* Ability to load/unload burlaps with plant cuttings onto trailer (up to 50 lbs.)
* Ability to bend, stoop, and twist continuously throughout the day
Work Environment:

This opening is to cover the MULTIPLE locations we have in Detroit, some may report to a Branch location, some may be direct reporting to a location in Detroit; so you could work out of one, the other or both as it is all the same labor force just different buildings.

Here's what you'd do:
