The Role
Engineers at Brilliant work in small, elite teams alongside colleagues from Product, Design, and Data to achieve the best possible outcomes for our learners and our business. We're opportunistically hiring exceptional product engineers with a demonstrated history of transformative impact on mobile products to further elevate the team.
We\'re looking for versatile and product-minded engineers skilled at building delightful experiences on Android with Kotlin & Jetpack Compose. Our ideal candidate for this role will be energized by having deep ownership across our entire Android product as one of only two Android engineers on the team.

We use a systematic compensation framework: salary scales are set each year for each job vertical, managers level folks on their team, and those levels are mapped directly to our compensation scales. Accurately enter and maintain training vendor data in the NJDOL AOSOS system.
Manage performance dashboard tracking vendor outcomes by industry, occupation, and employment placement.
Partner with the Quality Assurance Manager to monitor vendor metrics quarterly and present findings to vendors during scheduled review meetings.
Support additional projects and responsibilities as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
Required:
Bachelor's degree, or a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, including strong verbal articulation, active listening, cultural sensitivity, and professional written communication.

Responsibilities:
Manage relationships and timelines for domestic and international production processes.
Control internal repair and manufacturing product inventory and production flow and processes, with a focus on high quality and meeting customer timelines
Recruit, hire and manage a growing team of bench jewelers, polishers, setters.
Ensure the team has the appropriate tools and machinery to meet business objectives.
Guide day to day team performance, empowering the team and facilitating problem-solving.
Report on team KPIs and identify opportunities to continuously improve upon best practices.
Focus on process & system automation, cost effectiveness, quality, efficiency and accuracy.

Qualifications:
5-7 years' experience in jewelry production lifecycle, including filing, polishing, setting & re-polishing to finished product, and repair
Robust knowledge of Excel and inventory tracking systems, Diaspark a plus
Bilingual (Spanish and English) preferred
Demonstrated experience managing inventory flow
Proficiency in pricing and sourcing of jewelry production tools and machinery
Experience leading teams of bench jewelers, polishers, and setters to achieve KPIs and goals.

As a Jewelry Production Assistant Manager, you will be responsible for meeting deadlines, accuracy in our systems, executing processes and continuously implementing impactful improvements to increase productivity and reduce costs. Responsibilities:
Assist with managing timelines for in house production processes.
Support internal repair and manufacturing product inventory and production flow and processes, with a focus on high quality and meeting customer timelines
Recruit, hire and manage a growing team of bench jewelers, polishers, setters.
Support with ensuring the team has the appropriate tools and machinery to meet business objectives.
Guide day to day team performance, empowering the team and facilitating problem-solving.
Report on team KPIs and identify opportunities to continuously improve upon best practices.
Focus on process & system automation, cost effectiveness, quality, efficiency and accuracy.
Assist with leadingthe team to uphold Brilliant Earth's high quality product standards and timelines.
Guide professional development of team, including continued training opportunities and education of key metrics.
Formulate and implement systems, policies and procedures; coordinate and allocate tasks and resources to ensure smooth operation of business.
Qualifications:
5-7 years' experience in jewelry production lifecycle, including filing, polishing, setting & re-polishing to finished product, and repair
Robust knowledge of Excel and inventory tracking systems, Diaspark a plus
Experience leading teams of bench jewelers, polishers, and setters to achieve KPIs and goals.
Highly organized with focus on execution, problem solving, and improving processes
Excellent time management skills and accountability
Self-motivated, hardworking, team player with an ability to work collaboratively
Written and verbal communication skills, including ability to communicate effectively with international partners
Ability to maintain attention to detail in a fast paced, deadline driven environment

Job Description
The Deckhand monitors deck areas onboard the vessel, as well as passengers and vehicles, to ensure safety during ferry operation and/or special events. The Deckhand handles lines and rigging to launch or dock the boat and performs custodial and/or general maintenance tasks as directed. The Deckhand provides a high level of customer service to all Riders.
Handle mooring lines to dock or undock the vessel.
Assist with filling water, bunkering fuel, unloading black water (sewage), connecting and disconnecting shore power as directed.
Responsible for getting underway, mooring, anchoring, handling lines, and bridge operations in all weather conditions.
Perform lookout duties while underway, including watching for other vessels and monitoring the waterway for potential unsafe conditions.
Assist in boarding and disembarking of passengers, including ticket collection.
Perform cleaning and custodial tasks of the vessels and property, including maintenance and construction tasks as assigned and minor engineering repairs and rounds as directed.
Seek the highest levels of quality and professionalism.
Work to achieve the highest levels of performance and productivity.
Assist with training of crew as directed.
Seek continuous improvement.
Assist the Master in ensuring compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal safety and environmental regulations.
Assist the Master in ensuring vessel is in an inspection-ready condition at all times.
Monitor passenger & crewmember safety issues on the boat. Ensure that safety equipment is utilized, and appropriate guidelines are followed for all tasks involving physical risk or hazardous materials.
Participate in meetings, training, drills, and safety audits as required by USCG & company policy.
Develop understanding of all phases of shipboard safety procedures and knowledge of location and use of all firefighting and safety equipment (i.e. fire extinguishers, fire stations, life preservers, work vest, life floats, and rescue boat).
Use proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Handle and dispose of all chemicals and other types of hazardous or caustic materials in compliance with Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDSs) (as required).
Report safety, operational, and environmental issues to your direct supervisor immediately.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Must be able to climb ladders, bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, and respond quickly to various emergencies and situations.
Work in various degrees of weather and visibility.
Additional job duties assigned.
Requirements
HS Diploma.
Valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC Card), and/or ability to obtain and maintain.
Valid First Aid/CPR Certification, and/or ability to obtain and maintain.
Valid Driver's License.
Copy of DD214, if Veteran status.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to effectively interact with the passengers, Riders, and fellow employees.
Ability to work in fast-paced, quickly changing environment.
Previous marine experience or watch standing experience preferred.
