Performs a wide variety of duties within a patient care setting. Activities include cleaning, disinfecting, lifting, positioning, and transporting of patients. Responds to all customer requests at a level commensurate with the position.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Performs support duties.

Performs a variety of clerical and transportation functions for division of Diagnostic Services. Assists technologists with patients and equipment. Processes forms, paperwork and other materials related to patients and procedures.
Responsible for the coordination of activities to assure the consistent delivery of EMS services. Performs a wide variety of duties associated with the transportation of patients within the hospital setting. Job Summary:
This system-focused position will combine the duties of a licensed HVAC technician and General Building maintenance servicing all of Bristol Health properties. The employee will carry out assembly, installation, repair, and maintenance tasks on all HVAC systems plumbing, piping, and equipment for air, oil, gas, oxygen, hydraulic, waste, steam, and hot water heating systems throughout the hospital and offsite locations. Additionally, the employee occupying this position will be responsible for building maintenance/construction/groundskeeping assignments such as lite carpentry, patching, painting, minor electrical, etc. as well as performing preventative maintenance on various equipment throughout the organization and assisting with the landscaping needs.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities - HVAC Tech/General Building Maintenance:
Plans and executes installation of HVAC/plumbing systems by studying complex blueprints, work sketches, and other specifications to determine the appropriate materials necessary to complete jobs in accordance with required codes and good building practices.
Diagnose HVAC systems problems and determine and execute out solutions. Performs a wide variety of assignments; including preventative maintenance programs, installation of HVAC and plumbing equipment on both new and existing systems as well as responding to door hardware, lighting, and plumbing work orders.
Conducts performance tests on heating and cooling systems and takes appropriate steps to maximize system efficiency.
Works with a variety of plumbing, and other mechanical tools; including, but not limited to hacksaw, pipe benders, cutters and threaders, wrenches and other shop power tools, as well as a variety of measuring devices.
Performs building maintenance, repair, and small projects at the main campus and off-site locations
Performs a variety of general maintenance, repair, and servicing tasks in all trade areas, where qualified; including minor plumbing, minor electrical repairs, and adjustments, replacing damaged or worn parts, repairing equipment, adjusting thermostatic controls, changing filters and making minor repairs to window air conditioning units; making mechanical repairs and adjustments to tables and chairs, stretchers, wheelchairs, and various other items, etc.

Qualifications
Educational / Minimum Requirements: Must have a High School Diploma/GED. Must have a current Connecticut HVAC S-2 license (S-1 license preferred). Minimum of 1+ year experience in layout, installation, and maintaining various Mechanical systems. Preferred 1+ years of experience working in a large healthcare facility or office/professional setting performing maintenance. Must have a valid Connecticut Class 1 driver's license.

Job Summary:
Responsible for providing initial triage and screening of behavioral health services as requested by the Emergency Care Center. Within the emergency setting, provides crisis intervention and assessment to a broad range of psychiatric and substance disordered adults and children, managing patients' needs to appropriate disposition. Collaborates with emergency care center staff as well as a team of outpatient and inpatient mental health professionals. These services are provided under the general supervision of the Assistant Manager of the Counseling Center and Crisis Intervention, with a collaborative reporting role to the System Director of Behavioral Health.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
Provides direct crisis assessment and intervention services to patients
Provides patient-focused and empathetic care to patients and their families.
Interviews and assesses the patient and family for suicide lethality and/or dangerousness to others, current mental status, level of functioning, social supports, intoxication and other factors which impact treatment decisions.
Provides immediate crisis counseling to stabilize a patient and to bring the situation under control.
Manages to effective disposition: resolution of the crisis situation or facilitation of inpatient admission.
Provides support and education to family supportive others of patients in crisis.
Collaborates with the other units of the service line and the hospital
Provides consultation to the emergency care center staff as requested.
Assists staff of the emergency care center through therapeutic intervention of acute behavioral emergencies.
Provides effective communication hand-off's in the transition of patient's care to the emergency care center, inpatient behavioral health unit and outpatient services.
Provides cross-program coverage and functions with the behavioral health inpatient unit other duties as assigned.
Attends and participates in clinical case conferences or departmental staff meetings to ensure effective transition and continuity of care.
Gathers collateral information and uses in treatment and dispositional planning
Consults and confers with professional staff, emergency department staff, physicians, nurses, clergy, police officers, and other outside agencies.
Gathers data, relays information for follow through, and refers to appropriate services.
Establishes mechanisms for follow up contact and information and exchange with outside agencies.

Qualifications
Educational / Minimum Requirements:
Master's degree in mental health
State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements:

General orientation at time of hire. Fire/Safety/Infection Control annually. Clinical supervision as scheduled. Other programs as mandated by Hospital including CPI training.

Qualifications
Educational / Minimum Requirements:
Associate's Degree in a healthcare related field, and/or completion of one year respiratory therapy or cardiopulmonary training program, or equivalent, e.g. LPN. Must have one year experience or be able to be trained in one year, provided the employee has had necessary education as listed above.
State/Federal Mandated Licensure or Certification Requirements:
Cardiopulmonary Technologists performing PFT and ABG testing must be either a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRTT) or Registered Respiratory Technologist (RRT), and licensed by the State of Connecticut. No licensing or certification is required for Cardiopulmonary Technologists performing vascular exams, EKG's, holter monitors, or assisting in the supervision of a stress test.
