Overview
Under general supervision is responsible for entry-level probation and parole work of average difficulty, and performs related work as required. Monitors the offenders under their supervision to ensure compliance with release requirements set for the offenders by policy and procedures.
Interviews probationers and parolees regularly to evaluate their progress in accomplishing goals and maintaining the terms specified in their probation contracts and rehabilitation plans and searches on state, local, and federal databases for incidents and additional information related to their offenders.
Conducts pre-hearing and pre-release investigations and testifies in court and/or parole hearings regarding the offenders' backgrounds and recommended sentences and sentencing conditions as required by policy and conducts searches of offender residences, vehicles and person as required by policy.
Acts as liaison with judges, court personnel, law enforcement and other agencies concerned with the probation/parole program and who may have an effect upon the success of agency goals.
Interacts in a positive manner with fellow employees and offenders to foster and maintain a respectful and harmonious working environment.
Addresses non-compliance by offenders with appropriate Graduated Sanctions, including writing warrants and reports to the Courts, and or Board if appropriate.
Supervises probationers on community-based sentences, such as electronically monitored home detention, and provide field supervision of probationers by conducting curfew checks or visits to home, work, or school and administer drug and alcohol tests, including random drug screens of offenders, to verify compliance with substance abuse treatment programs. Receives and responds to correspondence from other states related to offenders' supervision.
Conducts a validated risk and needs assessments by utilizing motivational and interview techniques by collecting offender-specific information to help determine their level of risk to re-offend and identify their criminogenic risk factors.

Qualifications:
You qualify for the GS-9 grade level in one of the following ways: experience, education, or a combination of both.
Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level that includes:
Detaining suspected violators of federal, state, or local laws and/or arresting violators using the proper law enforcement methods.
Enforcing the laws and regulations relating to importing, exporting, and/or international shipping to and from the United States.
Utilizing intelligence techniques and behavior analysis to identify potential threats and perform risk assessments for violations of laws and threats to national security.
Conducting interviews in a law enforcement capacity for the purposes of gaining information from suspected violators of laws to determine the appropriate course of action.
The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Ability to make rapid, accurate judgments and decisions with respect to the application of the regulations, instructions, and procedures for importing and exporting merchandise to and from the United States; or enforcement and administration of laws relating to the right of persons to enter, reside in or depart from the United States, Guam, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
Education Substitution: A master's (or higher) degree, or two or more years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.B. or J.D. from an accredited college or university; OR

You will then attend a 101-day training program - CBP Field Operations Academy - conducted at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center (FLETC) located in Glynco, GA. This training consists of basic law enforcement skills, immigration laws, firearms training, examination of cargo/bags/merchandise, physical fitness, etc. Candidates assigned to the southern border, Miami, or Puerto Rico duty locations must attend and pass an online Spanish training program, which will be completed at their home port. Successful completion of the Academy is required for this position.

Qualifications
Education and Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree and at least three years of full-time work experience in accounting, finance, budget, or related fields.
OR
Master's degree with concentration in business, accounting, or finance and at least one year of full-time related work experience.

Overview
Under general supervision, is responsible for accounting, budget and fiscal consultation of considerable difficulty; and performs related work as required. This classification is not within a series. Incumbents in this classification are employed in the Center for Regional Excellence (CORE) unit within the Tennessee Department of Education (TDOE) and consult with local education agencies (LEAs) regarding local, state, and federal-level financial strategies.
Responsibilities
Serves as subject matter expert on local, state, and federal fiscal policies and procedures for local education agencies (LEAs). Advises LEAs on efficient use of resources across all funding streams toward student achievement goals.
Develops strategies for the efficient use of financial resources in order to assist LEAs in meeting student achievement goals. Strategically organizes fiscal matters appropriately based on departments systems for consolidated planning and monitoring.
Analyzes the use of funds to help LEAs identify potential redundancies across programs to ensure efficient use of resources. Assists LEAs with preparation and submission of appropriate budgetary and fiscal documents, including preliminary budgets, amendments as needed, and reports.
Advises LEAs on alternative or additional sources of revenue (e.g., competitive grants, foundations, partnerships, etc.). Advises LEAs on how to perform complex reconciliations of general ledger accounts and in the preparation of complex financial activity reports.
Consults with LEAs on the need for alignment between fiscal matters and programmatic plans and initiatives. Assists LEAs in practically connecting fiscal matters with programmatic plans and initiatives.
Assists CORE directors with LEA planning processes and providing fiscal advice. Collaborates closely with CORE director and coordinated monitoring specialist to ensure alignment on consolidated planning, monitoring and finance.
Communicates essential financial information to internal and external stakeholders. Communicates complex accounting principles and fiscal matters to non-experts.
Provides professional development and technical assistance concerning internal controls, fiscal policies and procedures in order to build capacity within the LEA. Conducts training in departmental policies, procedures, processes, and software systems.

Summary: The Camp Host Lead is assigned to a selected recreation area (or cluster of smaller areas) within a larger recreation complex. This may include a large campground or day use area, or a cluster of campgrounds and use areas. The Lead Host reports directly to an Operations Manager, and is responsible for the personnel (including training, and scheduling), regular operations, financial accountability, facility maintenance, equipment use and care, tool use, care, and storage, within the assigned campground.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Oversees the general operations within a permitted area; corrects any operational deficiencies in order to comply with Permit, Operating Plan and Company operating standards.
Supervises and trains hosts and maintenance personnel according to established procedures and develops effective working relationships with same.
Assists in conducting training workshops, including new hire orientation at the beginning of each season and ongoing safety tailgate meetings.
Maintains a good working relationship with fellow employees, governmental agency representatives, and the visiting public.
Handles visitor complaints and rules violations in a courteous and professional manner and seeks to resolve such situations quickly and effectively.
Troubleshoots and responds to situations as they occur within permitted areas.
Makes suggestions and recommendations to improve or streamline operations.
Performs manual labor tasks and may perform or supervise certain construction and maintenance tasks; assists maintenance personnel in the performance of routine duties.
Assists/participates in all phases of fee collection, facility and grounds maintenance tasks, and water and utility system testing as needed.
Secures, processes and maintains all records pertaining to deposits and revenues, and submits reports as directed.
Reports problems and any unsafe or hazardous conditions as they are discovered, and enforces rules according to Company customer service standards.
REQUIREMENTS:

Prior personnel management experience a plus; open to feedback and possess a desire for continuous learning.
Possesses common sense and good judgement; able to make decisions within the boundaries of this position.
Basic manual labor abilities, including an ability and willingness to clean and sanitize facilities with a variety of cleaning agents and chemicals.
Ability and willingness to move about the facility for extended periods of time and occasionally lift 20+lbs.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Solid administrative abilities and computer skills, including recordkeeping and money handling.
Must be able to work with minimal supervision, and be able to learn quickly and follow instructions accurately.
Willing to work a flexible work schedule, including regular evenings, weekends and holidays.
