WISC/News 3 NOW is searching for a Broadcast Engineer who can read, understand, create, and maintain custom station documentation that is critical to the entire engineering department. We use AutoCAD & VISIO! to create and keep our documentation up to date. If you know AutoCAD & VISIO!, or can learn it, we'd like to talk to you.

A strong background in RF Systems and station automation is a plus. Experience with Florical Systems, Ross Overdrive, and Rohde & Schwartz transmitters is a big plus.

If you have integration on your resume we absolutely want to talk to you. We are looking for someone that understands every connection necessary to successfully integrate a new piece of equipment or system and can design projects in the documentation for others to help install.

WTOL-TV is seeking a full-time Broadcast Engineer to serve in various production crew positions during live news broadcasts, recorded studio, and remote productions.

This is an entry-level position. An ambitious individual will gain experience in all technical areas of the station, including production, directing, IT, and engineering.
Responsibilities:

* Initial responsibilities will be operation of pedestal studio cameras, gimbal cameras, lighting board, and floor directing.
* Progression then goes to the operation of the audio console. It can eventually include control room directing/switching, IT projects, or other tasks in line with individual and station needs.

Job Requirements:

* 1-3 years of industry experience preferred
* Ability to work mornings, nights, weekends, and holidays
* Ability to lift 25 lbs. plus with or without assistance

Preferred candidates will possess:

* Working knowledge of studio operations
* Good communication skills
* Basic understanding of newsroom systems (e.g., AP ENPS, BitCentral Precis)
* Customer service orientation
* Travel: Rarely (less than 10%)
* Work Environment: Office/Studio: normally performed in a typical interior/office environment
* Physical Demands: Light work: Involves sitting most of the time, walking, lifting, bending, standing, etc
