The Global Account Manager ensures that Cohu is positioned for long-term strategic success with the customer(s) and coordinates Cohu's operational execution to meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations. This position has both strategic and tactical responsibilities and includes coordinating with an account team to develop and maintain key customer(s) accounts. Essential Functions/Major Responsibilities: Develop new thermal mechanical technologies by researching and developing concepts, initial prototypes, performing functional and reliability tests, and transferring of technology to high volume production. Perform analysis to determine if specifications are realistic and estimate risk exposure: thermal dynamics, computational fluid dynamics (CFD), thermal / mechanical finite element analysis (FEA), mean time between failure (MTBF) and failure modes and effect analysis (FMEA), or other mathematical models. Participate or manage in all development phases of assigned projects, including requirement definition, design, test, integration, deployment and support. The Quality Engineer is a skilled professional who, with limited supervision from the Quality Assurance Manager, applies advanced principles of product and service quality evaluation and control. This role leverages a diverse body of knowledge and technologies, including but not limited to Probability, Statistical Quality Control, Design of Experiments, Metrology, Inspection and Test, Quality System Audits, Human Factors and Motivation, and Quality Information Systems, to ensure excellence in processes and deliverables.
