He is the Founding Director of the Broadlawns Palliative Care Program and serves on the Medical Executive Board and as a faculty member for the Broadlawns Family Medicine Residency Program. Prior to Broadlawns, Dr. Shah was the Associate Dean of Global Health at Des Moines University. Dr. Shah currently serves as a board member on the Iowa Department of Public Health’s Advisory Council, Above + Beyond Cancer, ChildServe and the Des Moines Symphony.
